Why I will not be glowing this Solstice

Dear Bungie: Today I made up my mind that I will not be glowing this Solstice, and the reason is simple: Glows, once earned, should be optional to turn on or off, regardless if you're a paid player or a free one. Your past sets of Solstice armor that had multiple levels and glow options set a level of standard that players -blam!- those are looking to return to. On a side note, although it may not be 100% true, it feels like you're actively taking money from Destiny players who were told that purchases and MTX funds were to be used to fund secret missions and exotic content like the Whisper and the Outbreak missions. Those statements have in essence been proven by your recent actions to be verifiably false. And it blisters and hurts because I love Destiny, as I can do things in game that I could never dream of doing due to physical impairment. It hurts when I have to explain to my less financially solvent friends why they need to spend so much money just to be able to play the same activities as I do, and when they ask what they get for their dollar I have to reply with "you get to play with me" because there's really not much compelling new players to engage deeply into the story... you need to be pulled in by a current player who is deeply invested in order to get a halfway decent new player experience. TL;DR: I cannot in good faith continue to subsidize the onboarding of new players or the development of a different game which I will not play because I am losing faith myself in how Bungie is handling this game and it's various monetization methods, including but not limited to bait-and-switch anti-consumer tactics.
