On December 12, 2022 I was able to make a purchase on the Bungie Store of the Moments of Triumph 2022 T-Shirt, which shows that the account linking was working at that point. However, yesterday I went to check out Bungie Rewards to see if I wanted to get the raid jacket I had available, but when I clicked on "Sign in or link an account" I received this message: "There was a problem logging you in, please refresh and try again. If you continue to experience this problem, please contact support." Of course I refreshed, logged out and back in, went to my account settings on bungie.net and unlinked the Bungie Store and tried again, disabled my VPN and tried again - nothing worked. What's odd is that when I go to my account settings on the Bungie Store and go to Linked Account, it just has a little red bar on the right - no account information, nothing about unlinking or linking an account there, just a red bar. I've opened a support ticket but I'm not sure how timely those get responded to, so wanted to create a forum post to see if this helps. I'd really like to get this resolved before the April 30 deadline for the raid jacket, but guess we'll see. Thanks! Update from my comments below: Also tried clearing browser cache, going through my phone, disabling VPN at boot, and using an Incognito window. Update from my comments below (resolved!): "I got it to work! Here's what I did: 1. Disabled my VPN at boot so it wouldn't load. 2. Went to this page and clicked on Unlink next to Bungie Store: https://www.bungie.net/7/en/User/Account/AccountLinking 3. Went to the same page and clicked on Unlink next to Epic Games and Xbox at the top since I don't use those platforms for Destiny 2 anyways. 4. Loaded the Bungie Store page in Incognito mode for the Root of Nightmares raid jacket and it finally let me sign in through Steam and purchase the jacket. I'm guessing what fixed it was unlinking Bungie Store and then immediately using the Incognito window."
