How has nobody complained about NB?
This is pretty short and simple.
Bungie...please stop making Nova Bombs kill the user when they cast with their back against the wall. This is not a glitch or an isolated incident. It happens every...single...time. when the warlock reaches back for the animation when standing against a wall the bomb explodes on top of you instantly. Fix. Fix. Fix.

Here's my reason why no warlocks complains. They mostly play solar. The well is very strong and fast to recharge. So most warlocks I play with or against are using solar builds. Sometimes I see one using void. Yea arc is the new pick on the cutting board. But after awhile I will see some warlocks going back to solar.

Its been a thing since D1, I find it so dumb how nova bomb kills the user. Same applies to blade barrage, it also shouldn’t kill the user.

Due to this (and transitioning from 10 years of Halo, and Twilight Gap), I was in the top 1% for suicides in D1 Y1. I eventually had to accept not throwing the bomb while in any enclosed structure. Suffice it to say, my Warlock now drives a convertible.

I don't main warlock but I die far more frequently being close to my target than the walls of the room. Not saying this isn't a problem but definitely something you could work around pretty easy. As for whether it's skillful play to utilize the nova bomb and not die eh... this game is weird and sometimes you die for no reason. (Great example I was through an invasion portal in gambit and the invader on our side shot the portal after I went through and I died) That's kinda just video games because of all the variables that go into coding different abilities and terrain. My personal opinion on this just don't take a death, wipe, or game in general seriously it's more fun that way.

2 отв.I'm not trying to be contrarian or knock you, op, I do understand your frustrations, but the reason I think it's ok is because I like that there are alot of little tidbits and parameters in the game that make it a skill based game. Risk vs reward. So we're always getting better and learning how to utilize our classes.

4 отв.Clearly half of you are only taking into consideration how YOU play. This happens to be an overall general issue that doesn't pertain to play style....everyone gets caught up in close quarters or are crouched in a room anticipating enemy encounters at some point....andnthis is when the bomb fails you. You can't be by a wall a cast Nova Bomb without it being a suicide.nits really that simple. As most of you have probably already done, you can see I'm not a noob. This isn't -blam!-...this isn't a matter of "git gud." It's just a problem that's need addressing.

6 отв.It’s fine. Not a full time Warlock, but Voidwalker has easily been my second favorite subclass since D1. Big bomb go boom, and destroy everything. Makes sense

2 отв.It should kill you if you hit the nova bomb to the ceiling or a wall in front you. But it shouldn't recognise a wall behind you as an obstacles for Nova bomb that you are aiming to the front.

I mean you're pulling the nova bomb out of the void. That's the wind up. The projectile is coming out. Who the hell tries to throw something with a wall directly behind them? You're gonna hit your elbow and do some serious damage. Not to mention the void bomb thing...
