As I played Crucible this season I’ve found it increasingly more frustrating to get in lobbies with fair matches. Either my team dominates or the enemy team is unstoppable. I’ve more so been put in games with unstoppable enemy teams
Currently I sit at a 3.4 KDA for this season. However, a lot of it is attributed to me leaving from 3 to 5 stacks dominating lobbies. The games start normal, teammates get farmed, I’m at an unfair advantage then it gets near mercy, I leave. I’m kinda over getting paired with 3-5 stacks as if it’s skillful, it’s just an Advantage. And at my higher tier of SBMM, I only match against them, but again being in a team doesn’t equal skillful, it’s just an advantage.
Ik I’m not the only one either. I’ve seen certain forum posts talking about this-people keep leaving games to escape against stacks. SBMM was added and removed multiple times in Destiny 2 history, the reason it’s added back in unjustified because the community has consistently preferred CBMM.
A perfect solution is to just add a freelance option to the game, that CAN’T be used to complete things like the weekly pinnacle. So it incentives players to actually play the regular playlist so it won’t get abandoned. I would say maybe removing the ability to progress quests there, but that could be steep.

You're trapping yourself in a prison of your own creation. Stop leaving losing matches, & SBMM will eventually put you in matches with people similar to your skill level.
-
27 отв.If your KDA is 3.4, you haven't been facing people of your own skill level. And if you've been farming casuals, no one but toxic trash cares if you're having a bad time. That being said, I'd love it if there was a freelance, no reward option. It would have just about no one in it but people like you, and you would all abandon it instantly when it wasn't free farm mode- but it would show, once and for all, what the pvp mains who've been crybullying this game into an unsustainable corner really are.

it's funny that all of the SBMM lovers, don't actually read your post

Idk… I’ve just done a little crucible this season so far but the matches seem slightly better or less frustrating. I’m a 1.0ish player lifetime for reference. I’m my opinion, a lot of player need to change their mindset for quick play on both ends of the spectrum. For a casual mode there is way to much meta cructching, spawn trapping bs type of stuff going on. I wish kd stats would be turned off for casual modes so people wouldn’t care about it (because they do no matter what they say it part of what they define as ‘fun’ in many cases). Rift got this right and I think it’s one of the most fun modes out there. Player numbers matter more than anything for the mode to be successful. There has definitely been skill creep over the last year as lower skilled player dropped out entirely because as a 1.0 middle of the road player for the life of d2… quickplay control has felt bad for over a year. I used to play crucible a good bit after the power level cap was hit and seasonal story stuff was done. Been taking breaks now for about 4-5 seasons because it was no longer fun. Probably the last time I really put any time into crucible was season of dawn.

I’m pretty content with actually having fair matches now, despite my KDA dropping by about 0.5 from last season to this one (2.2 to 1.7). I’ve seen around 3/4 of my matches keeping both teams absolutely neck and neck in score, with the other 1/4 being some admittedly egregious outliers. I’m definitely having tougher matches against much better players, but it’s pretty fun (at least when I switch of my warlock) to be abusing new abilities and combos against players that are still getting used to new strats. I don’t know how long I’ll be able to get away with combos like Juggernaut + anteus wards + shoulder charge but I’m going to abuse it even though my opponents are actually good at the game now.

8 отв.Изменено (Grim): 8/29/2022 11:22:40 PMDude shut up your mad because you can't farm new light's like every other sweaty clown on here. Complaining like it the end of the world that their k/d will actually represent their skill for once, go cry about it somewhere else like back in the basement you crawled out of. The gamemode is finally sitting in a decent play for casual players and new lights and all I see is its not fair I can't do such and such anymore excuses excuses my guy. Play the gamemode or don't but don't sit there and act like cbmm was anything other than try hards farming new players to pad thier k/d cause that all it was so just stop get a life you loser and let other people enjoy themselves for once.

4 отв.SBMM has got to go. Catering to the bottom for the sake of the top (you know the people who keep this game alive during content droughts) isn’t a good idea. I get they want to protect new players, but this SBMM is anything but loose. And it needs to just be thrown out.

Saw a YouTuber complaining about this earlier today and while I understand the frustration of games not being as fun to play, I don't feel bad that now the best players are being matched with the best players. That's where you should have been this whole time. If skill levels are zeroed at the beginning of the season, which they should be, then everyone has the same chance to climb to their respective tier and feel confident that they aren't going to get blown out of the water all the time. We'll all still lose, but it shouldn't feel like you can't possibly win. The tolerance that people have for playing against people that are as good as they are is clearly very low. The great part about that is, the people that keep ditching games as soon as things aren't easy is that they'll eventually get phased out of any tier and cease to be a problem. SBMM won't answer all of PvP's problems, but it will make it a mode more people will enjoy again.

Another complain about sbmm. You guys are boring af. Just keep practicing and get good. U worried about ur k/d? This is just a fking game. You need to go back to the real life: there is where your achievements have an actual meaning. Omg people nowadays are just….. Peter-pan forever. Yikes.
-
Before I started leaving matches I was around a 10-20 win % with a 2.5kda lol
-
Quitting only locks you into that skill group. Most of the quitting is in the higher skilled groups. Everyone there is trying to pad their KD. Take the losses and lower your KD. You’ll then have less quitters and stacks.
-
3 отв.
the community has consistently preferred CBMM.
You mean the no-lifers who don't want to fight equally or better skilled opponents like the -blam!- they are.
-
1 ответ3.4 KD? Either that's inflated numbers or that's how you perform. I don't buy the latter as you should just be getting groups via LFG. The game is about to sort you out properly and you'll be in a lower ranking.
-
You have a 2.09 seasonal. Backing out if games you do bad bugs the emblem to not count those games.
-
11 отв.And it won’t be until they can recognise the cheaters. I’m going out on a limb and saying 90% of the top 3000 players on console use MnK to greatly benefit their performance. There’s whole clans devoted to it. Then you have the Cronus users who want anti recoil flinch and extra aim assist. There should be a way tell who’s doing it and they should be given a special cheater glow.

10 отв.Изменено (Wiffy): 8/31/2022 1:52:16 AMI’m a top player and I have yet to have a fun game this season out of hundreds. I’m not reading what your saying though too much work. Also for people that aren’t as skilled- I used to suck so bad; in destiny 1 I never went flawless after hundreds of hours of playing. I have spent thousands of hours since this game has released to become better at pvp. I love using random guns and bad exotics but I cannot anymore because of my sweat lobbies. I like playing sweats to get better, but if I wanted to do that I would play trials or survival. Control sucks rn. I’ve read some and I agree- the best players should be playing the best players, just not in control- it’s quick play not competitive
-
100% agree with you. SBMM has made 6v6 unplayable. But again, it seems most people miss the point that the issue is Lobby Balancing. And its been that way for years. SBMM has NEVER been thr issue. It's how the teams are balanced. And to put it into perspective, there's no reason why with SBMM active I should have 6v6 games on destiny tracker shown as one team having 80%+ to win.... just proof its lobby balancing
-
The whole SBMM vs CBMM thing is meaningless. It's the same exact terrible lobby balancing as before, except now it just takes longer to get into a match that's going to lag more. For me the main issue this season is more lag. Also, I remember before WQ they said they wanted to move towards a more gunplay and primary oriented sandbox, and we got exactly one patch before WQ dropped where they actually worked towards that. Ever since it's been more -blam!- ability spam and cheesy BS e.g. glaive shields and unflinchable snipers. RIP.

2 отв.Pvp will always have problem I’ve just accepted that, the crucible will always be on fire, one side has pitchforks and once they get heard the pitchforks just get passed on to the other side until they get heard, it’s a never ending circle im afraid.
-
It’s always been awful. Always. The best way to win is not to play!
-
I don’t understand why people would care about K/D in Destiny 2 when there’s so much random factors that go into it. Is it so you get join in Trials LFGs?
-
I’m at an unfair advantage then it gets near mercy, I leave.
Stop leaving. Let the matches finish so the SBMM adjusts you as it needs to. It feels like the more you leave the less it changes where you are so you just keep getting the same matches because you're not in the bracket you need to be. So you get mercied, so you get stomped. That would mean you get bumped down to easier matches, screw the KDA.
-
It needs to be in the dumpster

My beef is the team mates I get versus the opponents. My team stands still, enemy team flying to the objective. My teams quit out, enemy team lasts faithfully until the end. Can be crushing enemy team and then leaver/quitter. They need a ban for quitters, and a solo que freelance or I definitely won’t be playing much lol pvp this season, well in this game.
