For reasons I don’t want to get into, I want a .40, however I’m kinda small and the size range I need for practical concealing kinda shuts out all .40’s
Looking at the hellcat RDP, I have large hands for my size and I like the extended grip. I also like the p365

1 ответDon’t -blam!- around with that weak -blam!- -blam!-. Buy a .50 AE and show them what-for.

2 отв.I misread the title. I thought you said that you were in the market for a cow. I was all set to say Guernsey.

1 ответ9mm is the caliber I’d strongly recommend. The P365 is decent, though a bit too small imo, particularly if you have larger hands. They’ve also had issues with the mags and firing pins, at least the earlier models did. Personally, I would go with a Glock 19 or 26. S&W M&P Shield is pretty good too, though get the Glock if you’re able to swing it.

3 отв.OP, don't get hung up on .40 S&W. Even the FBI, the main drivers of the .40's development, have moved back to 9mm. Developments in ammunition technology have made it possible to get the terminal ballistic performance of the .40 S&W in a 9mm cartridge. Add to that by going 9mm, all other things bring equal, magazine capacity will be higher, felt recoil will be lower allowing for faster follow-up shots, there will be more firearm choices and better ammunition availability with a wider array of types of ammunition. My friends that own .40s have had a harder time finding ammunition lately, even WWB, than 9mm shooters. The times I looked for them when I was out shopping for myself showed a big difference in the number of boxes on the shelf of each. Still, it's not all doom & gloom. As the FBI goes, so goes law enforcement. As police departments follow suit and move away from .40 S&W, pre-owned Glock 22s have poured on to the used market, and you can usually get them at a bargain. They're probably too big for you to CC, but they'd be a great range/training/nightstand gun. Like a couple of others have said, go to gun shop and handle as many as you can, or better yet go to a gun range that has a rental program and fire as many as you can. Just because something looks good on paper doesn't transition over to real world performance. One last thing, remember, the best upgrade available for whatever pistol you purchase, is practice. And it works on every pistol you own. Odd how talking about firearms in OT is fine, but posting pictures is scary. 😂

3 отв.I'm assuming you're one of those guys that wants the 40 so you can have the "power" of a 45 and recoil similar to a 9. I don't know much about micros because I've never considered getting one but I've heard a lot of good things about the p365. I haven't heard of the hellcat but I'm sure it's nice. There's also some micro glocks if you're into that

4 отв.Изменено (NiceGuyMLGFTW): 10/30/2021 9:45:14 AMM&P9 compact, 380 acp, .38 super snub, Makarov 9x18 old guns are very reliable within sand, mud, or elements… similar to a glock. You can apply to conceal carry 2 if you really wish. Practice hitting the triangle within 5 feet in a safe monitored gun range environment, and you’ll be just fine. Don’t need to carry a Bazooka or full-sized pistol. Higher Calibre equals higher muzzle jump equals less bullets down range. More bullets down range equals … you get the picture. Also higher Calibre engagement on your non-dominant hand if that situation arises sucks. Add in elements, god-forbid blood or rain and the higher Calibre Gun gets slippery and harder to bring back on point. Do you really need a gun??? Guns are not toys, do you want to carry because you want it or it makes you feel cool. Think of the aftermath. Are you willing to deal with what happens after you shoot? Think of the Consequences. You are not in some war torn country so it’s most likely not that bad. Go to the police station if someone is bothering you. If you have the resources: move away. It’s okay. Your best weapon is your feet, brain, and eyes. Run. Evade. Avoid. Personally, I don’t like guns. I know how to operate them, but I would really rather run away. Running away from a fight is not a cowardice way. You get to smile and wake up in your house the next day. Think peace. Have a nice day.

2 отв.Well first you're going to need a large pasture, and lots of grass. Only get one if it rains fairly frequently in your area, or else the grass won't be very nutritious. They're typically obedient animals, but they do take up a lot of space, so you're going to need to set aside a lot of time to look after them.

3 отв.Изменено (A Traffic Cone): 10/30/2021 4:06:18 AMI carry a full sized G17. In 9mm. It's just a matter of what you can comfortably hide and hold. The SW M&P Shield I think can come in .40 and that's small

1 ответI'd recommend the new 9mm Walther PDP. It's literally the best pistol I've ever fired. Or look for service type pistols. They are similar in full size, but slimmer and slightly smaller. The Springfield XD Mod.2 Service .40S&W is my first CCW. I can hide that thing Appendix and 3 O'clock. Now my new PDP is just as easily concealable too. But I do use high quality holsters. Tier1 Axis Slim for both of my EDC.

1 ответComrade, comrade... If a ccw is what you require, a mosin nagant is what you acquire.

SW M&P Shield, in .40SW. Its compact, easy to carry, easy to shoot and recoil isn't bad for having only a 2in. barrel. Its a 5-6 round mag in a very compact deal of a firearm. .40SW is nice as its basically a shorty 10mm and has similar damage output but is way easier to handle than the hefty 10mm, its like .45ACP and 9mm had a baby...
