Destiny two crashing on PC post update.
As the title says. I've had two crashes since the update today. Just letting you know.

After some googling around I found a thread from the ARK steam community that fixed my issues and haven't crashed since. "1. Uninstalled Destiny 2 2. Made sure to delete the Destiny 2 directories from steamapps folder [spoiler]3. Ran CC cleaner portable, fixed all of the issues it found[/spoiler] (Didn't need to do step 3) 4. Deleted the dumb hidden Battleye directories (I believe they're at \Program Files (x86)\Common Files\BattlEye, but you could always search C:\ for battleye) 5. Delete the batteleye service - Open cmd as administrator and run 'sc delete BEService' 6. Install windows updates 7. Restart computer 8. Install Destiny 2 9. Launch Destiny 2 from Steam 10. Click OK on the install prompt without checking the "ask me again" box 11. Scroll to the bottom of the EULA license agreement 12. Hit I agree (or whatever the button is) to install 13. After playing for a random amount of time my game freezes then when I attempt to restart the game I get the little box with showing 11:24:02: Starting BattlEye Service... 11:24:05: Launching game... 11:24:07: Note: File blocks can be ignored if they don't cause problems with the game. 11:24:07: [INFO] Blocked loading of file: "E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Destiny 2\destiny2.exe". Im no PC guru but im pretty sure there is an issue because whenever I start destiny I never get a battleye prompt beforehand like I do in other games.

I was having the same Issue even after a few seconds depending on the Map. Allowing the BEService_x64.exe in the Firewall seems to have fixed the Issue.

Crashed in the middle of gambit game twice within an hour. Game was suddenly shut and loaded straight into desktop without an error code. AMD 4600H GTX 1650

Also having the same issue. I can sign in and select one of my guardians. Once I see my ship and try to select a map location, the game shuts down without any error messages. This is a Steam game and was working prior to the update. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game as well as BattlEye. AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 32 GB DDR4 2133MHz NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER Windows 10 Home Version 10.0.19043 Build 19043 GeForce Game Ready Driver Version 471.68

I'm having the same problem. The game freezes, it happened when the animation about Savathun started, and a few seconds later the game closed, no errors message. It is also happening for all my clan members. I'm using Windows 11 (latest beta update) core i7 16 Gb ram 1660ti

I had issues with crashes within 10 minutes of gameplay after the Season of Lost update. Updating graphic drivers (NVIDIA) and a restart fixed all crashing issues for me.

same here it usually happen during reloading animation, aiming animation and dodging animation. no error messages given it just froze.

Same for me. Worked last night when I fired it up post-patch. This morning I had two crashes within 5 minutes of each other. No error codes, just straight to desktop. i5-8400k MSI RTX 2080

This is happening to me as well! Image freezes, sound keeps going for a little while and then boom, game crashes. Occurs consistently ever few seconds after logging in. I play on RTX 3080, i9 10900K, 64 GB RAM, all drivers up to date. If Bungie needs my DXDiag i'll send it wherever they need it to be.

Same here. Tried disabling GeForce overlay, windows/Xbox overlay, game mode. Hard crash to desktop after a few minutes of play. Prob the battleye. Intel core 9900k GeForce 3090fe 32gb ram Gigabyte z390 aorus

I closed down my game and found multiple files and folders open on my pc. Never had that one happen before. Then again I never had battleye on my pc either. Oh and yes my pc crashed as well and I suppose battleye was the cause. I was loaded into the first few missions. All was going well and then a total freeze. No error message at all. Ctrl, Alt, Del refused to respond for the first two attempts then on the third I shut down the game. 5900x, 2080ti FTW3 Ultra, 32GB ram, Win 10 Pro, custom cooled.

Weird, i seem to only crash in the Prophecy dungeon. It crashed 4 times now when i shoot at the first Taken knight and 1 crash loading into the prophecy dungeon. Everything else seems to be fine for me

To provide some more data. Especially when you are at the "end of a match screen" in gambit and try to re-queue from there, its a 50/50 chance for me now that the game freezes and crashes to desktop without any error. (Since yesterdays update)

So this is what I did. 1. Removed antivirus (was using ESET NOD). 2. Removed MSI Afterburner (and also, other performance/tuning background apps). 3. Disabled nVidia Geforce Experience (basically the overlay). 4. Uninstalled and reinstalled Battleye. (it's in the local files folder where Destiny 2 is in Steam). 5. Restarted my system. 6. Working fine. The problem here is obviously Battleye from the looks of it. More like a feature than a problem tho lelz.

Same my game crashes every 5 minutes , without any code, and the game never crashed before the update and was working great, :( but now i cant even get to the tower before it crashes

Изменено (FragAloT): 8/26/2021 6:08:23 AMI have the same issue and the game crashes in multiple activities. This happens on an AMD 3950X with a 5700XT. The timing of the crash is random. It happened once in the opening mission and once running around in a Lost Sector in Trostland. There's no error message displayed and everything is just frozen however ambient sounds are still playing. I can Alt-Tab out of the game and kill the game from the Task Manager. I'm running Bitdefender which might interfer with Battleye. I'll try and disable Bitdefender to see if that's makes a difference. It took Bungie (and AMD) almost 9 months to fix the framerate issues with AMD cards in Beyond Light. I hope this is not the case this time. Have a great day! Update 1: Just finished a two and half hours session without a single crash. Activities completed was running around in Lost Sectors in Trostland, Strikes and the new acendant plane mission a couple of times. I didn't change anything on my system and Bitdefender was still running. This means one or more of the following: 1) I got lucky 2) Battleye did something 3) Bungie did something Will have another go tonight. Update 2: Gamed for about three hours last night without issues. Blind Well, Crucible, roaming in the EDZ etc.

This may or may not be helpful. When I had the crashed I caught a glimpse of Nvidia Share no longer responding as it crashed. I disabled the Nvidia Overlay and I haven't had an issue since. However, I did update Nvidia drivers and did a reboot so that may have resolved the issue as well. 3070 FE R7 3800x
