Not having an expiration date kills the motivation to get new guns as well. A catch 22 if you look at it from both sides of the fence.

True. I've finished a bunch of pinnacle & ritual quests this season just so I could use them before they're retired. Without sunsetting, I probably never would've done them.

Not having fun content kills the motivation to play
-
It only “kills” the motivation to get new guns if the new guns are dog shit... you know what it DOESNT kill though... the motivation to play the new content...
-
Except the guns won’t be new. They’ll be reskins. You’ll still want the same perk rolls. You’ll still want weapons of the same performance. You’re just being forced to farm those rolls with a higher light level, in addition to farming for the new light level.
-
Ah so when they make the world loot pool be some reskins it means every single gun will be a reskin in the future. Plus Gnawing Hunger is like the one of 3 guns to do this out of all the re-issues being year 1 with new random rolls. So until we get confirmation, all the guns in Beyond Light aren’t reskins/re-issues.

Изменено (SweetMadness): 10/27/2020 1:59:58 AMThe majority will be-that’s how it’s been every season and dlc. There’s no reason to expect otherwise. Especially with other things we’ve seen being reskinned in the DLC. Their stats won’t drastically defer from the other weapons of the archetype. So even if they don’t look the same, they’ll perform the same/similar and the perks you want will be the same unless they add some meta shifting perk to the BL weapons. Edit: clarification.

Nah. I always want new weapons. Don't talk for me!

Except there's nothing stopping you on your side of the fence other than yourself.

True. As I see it, I’ll roll with the punches Bungie throws and use whatever I find I like. My only motivation is having fun with pals, hasn’t been about the loot at all in D2 🤷🏼♂️ When it stops being fun, I have other things to play for a bit
