For those on PlayStation who might not be aware of the trick:
Go in the console’s settings, change date and time to whatever you want, load into a destination or strike and you’ll be alone on the map, no more blueberries.
It works great for upgrading catalysts using the escalation protocole on mars.
Simply load on Mars, start escalation protocole, kill first wave of enemies, reload the area without going to orbit, start escalation protocole, kill first wave of adds, and so on.
There are many bounties or catalysts I would have never even tried to complete without using this trick.
I feel bad for those who play on Microsoft’s consoles or pc.
It works great for upgrading catalysts
i can do you one better, or at least for people who don't use PS4. Best catalyst farm is shuro chi checkpoint or thrall room in whisper mission. Thrall room gives you unlimited adds. Shuro Chi, if you're on a hunter using tether and orpheus rigs. You can keep planting flags, but also, any kill that the tether chains counts as that weapon kill. So its super effective for heavy or special ammo exotics that get starved for ammo.
-
By the time you get to the thrall room or shuro shi I already completed the catalyst. Thanks
-
But they’re all bent out of shape over 70$ prices and exclusives so they insist PS4 is inferior lol.
-
So you could just change the time by an hour even and this will work?
-
you can, but its best honestly to just change the year. Do it in orbit. Also, fly into one instance (any planet patrol) first, and then jump into another one. It will almost always be guaranteed on the second run (your net settings take a little bit to kick in)
-
I go back a few days, months, and years. It works 100%.
-
Dunno, some may call this cheating...
-
well then i've been cheating since destiny 1 if this is considered cheating.
-
Cheating? Punishable actions are those which alter the gaming experience of others. Network manipulation, wall hacks, aim bots, modded consoles and controllers, and the likes are technically punishable, either by the manufacturer or developer accordingly, although cheaters always find a way, using specific modems or VPN and the like, and most of the time are not even reprimanded. Some get even visibility and recognition for altering hex codes. The one I’m referring to is an exploit, similar to how raid encounters have exploits. In fact it’s a Bungie trademark to know the exploit and is referred to as KWTD...
-
It can be done on PC too, just change region or manipulate your network another way.
-
I didn’t know. Thanks for the info. I trust it is not considered network manipulation right?
-
It is network manipulation. I just don't think anybody cares. Especially since it also benefits the players who don't do it. I certainly have never heard of anyone in authority commenting against it. It doesn't even seem to cause problems with the timeline for people who do it. Which is actually a little surprising.
-
I’m not sure but it’s not malicious and doesn’t effect anyone else so I see no problem.
-
No big deal eh!? Come. Im gunna show you something.. and I don't think you're gunna like it
