The default Field of view is eye straining, from playing games that have a Field of View slider. This makes 3rd person games great to play.

Coming next gen like everyone said, but my concern is the gap that creates with cross play. If XBX and PS5 get fov sliders, and can cross play with their respecitive past-gen, isn't that a huge advantage to the next-gen players in pvp? So it becomes pay to win (in a sense) except the cost is a whole new console? What's up with that.

Next gen gets a slider. Good luck getting a system but it will fix this problem

Bungie has addressed this. Current consoles aren't powerful enough to change the default FOV of about 72. Next-gen consoles like the PS5 are powerful enough. On December 8th there's a next-gen *ENHANCED* patch dropping from Bungie. Those who are playing Destiny 2 on a new console will then have their Destiny 2 version updated to include a FOV slider that will raise FOV to around 110. Obviously the patch will do more than just add FOV but that's a big deal. Resolution/frame number increased to 4K/60 frames, etc. So FOV on consoles after December 8th, 2020! Better than faster load times (almost).

This can be resolved. Buy a series x or pc?

next gen consoles will have field of view options
