So TV here made a few good arguments in this video and I agree with quite a few statements that he has made.
But the one I REALLY want to push here is the aspect of FUN, ask anyone that pandering to one certain group in a game, especially one that can be as toxic as the sweat community ( don't come at me with any of your elitism BS)
Its a game. All aspects of the game should be fun. Honestly for a good majority of people who play this game do NOT think this game is fun. Why? Its because it's all about the W's. That's all people -blam!-ing care about, mind you there are all sorts of ways to do PVP and frankly, the game needs to be more varied in what kind of PVP mode that can be played.
My point is when you care about PVP SO MUCH that you are willing to cuss out a person over losing a match, for changing you twitter id to "identify" as trans just so you can gaslight a group of female gamers who wanted to do a girls-only tournament (Pretty sure it's because of this kind of reason why it was female only in the first place). Do I even HAVE to mention the BSK debacle?
Not all of them are bad eggs but dear lord does the bad ones make this worse for everyone.
These are not the voices that Bungie should be listening to FOR ANYTHING.

I am not a sweat in fact I’m pretty sure I have a negative kd, but I think people people complain to much. Just because you bought this game, does not entitle you to be great at it.

I can agree with these loons needing to calm the hell down, but their ego is far too above themselves by this point, so there's no room for argument. I hope most people have thought once that there is such a thing as being too good/trying too hard. 110%'ers are not pleasant people to fight against, nor does being beaten even feel fair, it just feels stupid or cheap. Enough to make you likely not even play anymore. So in these people's chase for some essence of validation, they're effectively killing the mode. 2 отв.I always laughed at the idea of some people taking this game's pvp seriously. Like....really? - Aim assist as an upgradable weapon stat instead of a flat aim assist. - Extremely forgiving bullet magnetism on top of aim assist. - Powerful perks that outshine others - RNG loot that gives blatant advantages and disadvantages. - Subclasses and setups that basically reward free kills with zero effort. - Special weapons that can give the illusion of skill and make specific weapon archetypes useless. Did you know that cheap kills are so prevalent, that anything above a 0.7KD in quickplay is considered above average? Imagine how mind-numbing that must be. No wonder many people have migrated to other games with a phenomenally better experience. It's an inherently flawed form of pvp. A renewed focus on accessibility and fun instead of clinging to the nonexistent "competitive integrity" should be the goal.

2 отв.It really is sad how toxic some of the "high-skill" players behave in this casual game where Bungie sends them lower-skill "PvE" players to "beat up on" due to crucible requirements for quests/pinnacles/bright dust. You don't see top athletes in real life go to the park and see how badly they can stomp random amateurs.

PvP was implemented because there is not enough Pve content to keep you logged in all day. Bungie has some weird contract where they have to prove high daily log in numbers and hours played. I don’t know the specifics but it all comes down to numbers, just like any business. That being said, pvp is an after thought.

Their suggestions have always lead to a poor experience for most of the player base. At the end of the day I'm just trying to have fun and take a break from life'ss problems. I stopped playing PVP altogether. If they try to force me to do PVP every 5 minutes for quests come nov., then I'm out. Unless something changes. I'm just tired of the lag, long matchmaking times, everyone in every match running one hit meta weapons, cheesy builds, solo's vs teams. I'm sure I'm part of the problem with my bad attitude. I know I'm regressing, because of frustration.

Even someone who doesn't care about PvP at all, it's impossible to have fun. The lag is vile, the non regional mm obnoxious, the concurrent playerbase too small. This is the only PvP game where I match people from Algeria, Russia, Japan, and New Zealand (I'm uk), in the same lobby. And it's EVERY damm game. The pings are high AF, the frustration through the roof, and none of it is the players fault. It's seeps into gambit too, and even PvE. Get in an instance with a guy from Russia, and thrall 1 hit you, ever play gambit with 4 continents in the same game? It's real 'fun' when your 4 solo team can't get out of spawn because the inviz vandals 1 tap you nonstop, and you're playing 2 teams of 2, 1 from Peru and 1 from Botswana. There's also bungies networking which gives an indirect buff to any fireteam because all the damage goes through the host of the party. Everything runs through bungie.net, n it can't handle it, even the apps constantly losing connection (the only app that does this) and 3rd party sites all go through it too. Too much traffic, not enough bandwidth = shitshow

It’s pretty much just him virtue signaling about how toxic the sweat community is and arguing against the views they have on sandbox balancing, which are generally the same views shared by most good PvP players who aren’t a part of the sweat community. I respect that TV tries to represent both casual and hardcore player perspectives, but often times that results in him having some REALLY bad takes. Like the time he said players are partially responsible for the state of Crucible earlier this year when Bungo decided to make it 90% SBMM.

His point was that Destiny is primarily a pve game, and it will never be an e-sport. So catering to hardcore pvp players is not in the best interests of the game...and not what the wider community wants. Look at how quickly pvp numbers bottomed our after CBMM became the only game in town again for 6v6.

2 отв.The fact that I got completely sauced my first time in Crucible made me want to keep going, that's why I've kept playing for 5 years. I wanted to do the saucing and now I can. It's a great feeling working for what you accomplish, handouts are not fulfilling. Pretty much anyone who cares enough to try can be good at this game, people are just lazy or not intelligent enough as players and refuse to learn.

4 отв.I think what he wants and advocates for would make it worse. He wants crucible to be approachable to casual and average players. To do that you need to make more cheese weapons so that they can have “fun” and pick up kills. These players wont have fun without cheese weapons due to not putting in the time with other weapons. When you make more cheese weapons, the sweat community and good players will abuse these on casual players and the vicious cycle continues. I think some players just need to understand that if they don’t practice, then crucible is going to be tough for them. Crucible wouldn’t be a fun place if an average player can go in and frag out everytime with whatever he wants to use, and it seems like that’s what TV is pushing to. I feel like momentum control scratches that itch if you want to be powerful with whatever you want to use.

So toxic people only exist in destiny? Every game, hell every facet of life has toxic people. People can sweat if they want in qp or trials. Doesnt matter. Who are we to say what anyone else uses (as long as it's not cheating)? Vanguard needs to stop acting like the 'savior' of the causal base and just play the damn game. If he cant stomach the sweats then that's his issue. Who is stopping him from using meta? If he cant stomach the toxicity then maybe he needs to reevaluate his perception of people on the internet. Also I am sure vanguard has some 'toxic & sweaty' people on his friends list. All the sweats are more connected than u think. At the end of the day, there are different kinds of people who play this game. Whether u choose to b*tch about it or just ignore them is upto u. I suggest ignorance because it really is bliss.

Your better PvP primaries are in the kinetic slot. Thorn, ace, spare, rose, lumina, dire, old fashioned, bad juju, vigil wing, suros, etc etc. Your better PvP specials are in the energy slot. Mindbendy, retold, beloved, felwinters, erentil, elatha, wizened, good bone, orewing, seraph shotgun, omniscient eye etc etc. Stop stacking the damned weapons slots. Make it diverse and you will see diversity. It's not everyone else's fault that the better shotgun is energy... Bungie needs to provide alternatives. [/spoiler]

I only heard about the issues that the all women's tournament brought up and was thoroughly upset. While i want to encourage the PVP community to flourish and the devs shoudl for sure continue to help balance it within a normal scope I agree with TV about Destiny PVP being more a fun game mode and not a ridiculous sweat fest.

I really don't care for streamers, I feel they are way overrated and usually a hot mess. That being said his points were pretty spot on , good feedback. The only thing I question is his motive for posting this video now as I feel it is definetly long overdue.

With that being said, there needs to be some kind of mechanic to make sure that ALL players play within their skill range. You don't match NFL teams with high school football teams for a reason. Never should a 6 pack of rolling sweats be allowed to match 6 randos with sub 0.7 k/ds. Or even a 3/3 split.

Easy fix put in a 6v6 sb like control or clash or classic mix and let them have the cb play modes they can be toxic to each other. This season has catered to them and if it continues pvp will fall into a barren zone.

2 отв.I actually agree with him on this. I have always said the game works best when you embrace the power fantasy. You can't approach PvP expecting a pure balanced environment. The rest of the game sufferers greatly when you try to force that.

1 ответThe crucible is fun depending on how you view it, if you are a “casual” you shouldn’t care about loss or defeats. When I needed to “git gud” I didn’t care if I won’t or loss, I cared about what I needed to do to improve. Play crucible and just enjoy it for what it is.
