CROSSPLAY GLITCH

I had made a Warlock on my xbox one. Enabled crossplay to transfer some of my old exotics to this new character from my ps4 acc. I got my XBOX Warlock up to 1022 Light. Tried to maje a clan with my buddies. No matter what I tried, kept saying I was an inactive member (wouldnt let me participate at all in the clan I created, mentioned something about crossplay affecting it) finally gave up and thought disabling crossplay would fix it. I do. Log into my xbox one Destiny 2, my warlocks gone. Check my ps4. It somehow transferred over there and now I cant access it. Any help or suggestions? I cant wait the 90 days because I deploy next month.

  • To clarify, cross-save does not merge accounts, nor does it transfer data from one platform account to another. Cross-save allows you to select one account as the active save, and makes that data available across your linked platform accounts. You cannot transfer gear, characters, or progress, from one account to another. When you had cross-save active, you used your PSN account as the active save data. This meant that your Xbox save data was dormant, and inaccessible. The Warlock you leveled up, was on your PSN save, as that was the active account. Your Xbox Warlock is exactly as you left it, in the same state it was prior to activating cross-save. They are two different characters, on two different platform accounts, as they always were. When cross-save is active, only the active account can take part in a clan. As your PSN account was the active save, your Xbox account would accurately show as inactive, because it was inaccessible and inactive. You needed to create/join the clan with your PSN account, where your character data actually resides. Nothing was really wrong with your clan, you simply needed to join with your PSN, and shift the founder status to the PSN account. Now that you have deactivated cross-save, you have put your accounts into that 90 day lockout. There are no exceptions to this policy, regardless of why a user chooses to deactivate. You will simply have to wait out the time, if you wish to activate cross-save again later on. You can still play the game on Xbox and PS4, with the data for each respective platform.
