One problem with the game's current state is there are too many Exotics that just aren't viable because there are simply better options. Some Exotics have interesting and game changing perks, but they never get used because they take up a valuable Exotic slot. Being able to equip two Exotic armor pieces or two Exotic weapons simultaneously would give greater potential to unused Exotics. Imagine all of the builds you could come up with. A middle-tree Gunslinger could wear Ophidia Spathe w/ Shards of Galanor, or even The Sixth Coyote w/ Wormhusk Crown. The downside would be that they'd be locked out from using Exotic weapons. On the other hand, they could choose not to wear any Exotic armor and instead equip Suros Regime and Truth. There are so many possibilities. This could be balanced further by adding a stat penalty or an ammo reserve reduction when stacking Exotics, though I don't think this would be necessary. It would be nice if players who choose not to wear any Exotics could be rewarded as well. Maybe increase their stat cap from 100 to 120, or +10 to all stats. Even with all these options, using one Exotic armor w/ one Exotic weapon would still be just as viable, which means all the more player customization. This would make the game much more interesting and would create so many new ways to play.
