Loading times are usually indicative of internet speed. Cause I have basically the equivalent of you yet it’s intel and nvidia and my loading times are less than a minute to 2 minutes max.

If you read my posts I provided links for, you would know that it has nothing to do with internet connection in my case. When I swap it out for GTX 1070, all problems are gone and it loads in 15 seconds. Sorry, just heard about this being a connection issue so many times already xd

Apologies I’m being distracted by something else. So then it’s an amd conflict? I know there was a patch for amd cpus a while back for this game have you looked into that?

Изменено (Prometheus): 7/10/2020 1:12:23 PMYe, it was a bios update for 3000 series CPUs. I have R5 2600 :/ no help there. Im on the latest BIOS. It should be that shader cache problem, but I can't get rid of it. I have tried this: https://old.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/9mpzvj/is_there_anyway_to_switch_global_shader_cache_to/e7ghc7n/ It didn't help. I have also reset the cache in Adrenaline software, no use there. I would need some developer from Bungie to notice, because cassual people like us won't be able to solve it I guess. I have already also tried so many driver versions, that it can't be that either. So it should be problem with the game since the hotfix patch 2 weeks ago. It only got worse from the latest update on tuesday. It creates the shader cache files normally for other games, just Destiny creates only 64KB file and nothing more. Some other guy had the same problem and said, that after the registry tweak he had a 65MB file in there, so it should really be it. https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTechSupport/comments/hnjimi/shader_cache_bug_is_back_i_guess/ Thanks for tryin to help tho :) The game is kinda unplayable now for me. I have invested over 1500 hours in it already and pre ordered the next expansion with season pass. And now I can't even play it ,_,

Изменено (Crisidelm): 7/10/2020 1:29:43 PMWhere is your AMD\Dxcache located? In USERS\Default\Local or USERS\*YOUR USER*\Local ?
-
It's in C/AMD/Dxcache. You can see it in the picture in the first reddit post I linked in the post here.
-
Изменено (Crisidelm): 7/10/2020 1:41:33 PMThat's the wrong position for it. It should be located in your User folder, something like C:\USERS\*Your username here*\Local\AMD\Dxcache Check it's there, if it's not there is some malconfiguration in your system. (I take it for granted you are using Windows 10).
-
Also if I go to appdata/loacal there is an AMD folder. Is has multiple cache subfolders, but It's like "GLcache" - I guess for Open GL? "DX9Cache" - for directX 9 apps , I think Destiny is on Dx11? "Vkcache" - Vulkan I would say? But not "DxCache" like in the C/AMD/ In the AppData/Local there is also D3DSCache, but I don't think that's from AMD and has anything to do with Destiny
-
In my folder there is, perhaps that's the reason why you have this problem: https://imgur.com/a/FAWEMkB
-
Well, I tried to install the drivers into the Local/AMD folder. Thought it could move the DxCache folder there, but Now I lost the folder completly and can't find it xd.
-
I don't think that would work anyway. There must be some configuration in place that prevents the folder to be automatically created where it should be. I suspect that's why the shaders for D2 aren't generated and stored, maybe?
-
Really don't know :/ I'm surprised that I have even pinpointed the problem this far xd. I don't know much about what it even is. But ye, some bad conficuration. But don't know if it's bungies fault or AMDs and mainly don't know how to fix it ,_, really need some DEV here :< But they don't care.
-
Have you tried formatting and reinstalling Windows, then install AMD drivers, then Steam and Destiny 2?
-
Yup, 3 times alread :< in past 3 days.
-
Well it's created there automatically. I have a 3rd fresh windows 10 installation in past 3 days and it was always created there on every driver version I tried. Also the guy in here in comments has it the same and it works for him: https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTechSupport/comments/hnjimi/shader_cache_bug_is_back_i_guess/ also when I launch Alien: Isolation, it creates it's cache in there too and it's much larger than 64KB :/
-
Изменено (Crisidelm): 7/10/2020 1:54:38 PMInterestingly, I have no C:\AMD folder, my DXcache is where I told you it should be, and I don't have a problem with my RX 5700.
-
That's really weird and I really don't know what to do about it xd What version of drivers you use and what windows version please?
-
Might just have to go back to the 1070 if you want to play. I’ve heard of a lot of issues with the XT gpu from amd have you asked them the issue with this?
-
Изменено (Prometheus): 7/10/2020 1:25:05 PMThe GTX 1070 isn't mine, it's my brothers, so Ijust borrowed it from his PC sadly :/ Ye, I asked them, but they answered that since it's only happening with Destiny 2, it's their issue. (It's also in the title xd)
-
You might also post this same issue on reddit to see if you get any traction in the destiny reddit. Wouldn’t hurt to try. I don’t know enough about amd to delve into what could be wrong.
-
Yep, I posted it in there to. 2 days ago, nobody there cares about theese bugs I guess.
