1060 Power cap on old gear next season
Please dont do this, Ive been playing D2 for years, i really just want to use my loadouts I love and enjoy, I want to use the armor I think looks cool and enjoy.
I dont care about grinding new stupid crap just because my old gear I spent hours, weeks, months, grinding out to now be pointless for no actual reason then an arbitrary number thats just there to grind for.
For me this has been the whole appeal of destiny, I can play it casually when I want to, and enjoy the things Ive worked hard to get, and not have to leave them in the dust.. Ill probably just drop the game if this goes through.. Which is sad, because I really do enjoy it.
But im just not willing to put in all that time to grind new stuff just because of an arbitrary power cap.
Ide be fine if you even made all the weapons banned for PVP... but just let me play PVE how I want to play with the weapons I want to play with..

Hey Bungie, Check this out, if I masterworked my Halfdan-D and my other favorite gear from scratch well gee itd sure be nice to keep -blam!-ing using it and not being screwed with a lame power cap - Pissed off Customer speaking for a million more.

It makes me happy to see that I'm not the only one who feels this way about sun setting. I've worked so so hard at getting my character the armor and weapons (mods too) the way I've wanted them. 1000 hours of work and commitment to come back from a 1 year hiatus and find it all wiped away because of the stupid power cap they put on my favorite weapons and armor. I will never forgive bungie for this, after I beat Beyond Light, I'm done. I'm not wasting anymore money or time on this game unless Bungie takes away the stupid power cap on old weapons and armor. Bungie you should ge ashamed of yourselves

38 отв.I get where you are coming from but you will still be able to use the weapons you love in 50% of the content in the game. This system just prevents the same stuff from being the raid meta example mountain top recluse anarchy they need to move these weapons out or the game will get power creeped. A necessary evil I think.

My main gripe with this sunsetting is that I have refarm a roll of a weapon that just got reprised. *Looking at you Blind Perdition*

57 отв.No... sunsetting needs to happen. Key word: NEEDS. Many people WANT to keep their gear forever, they WANT to use it in all activities. You’re going to have to face what is needed over what you want. The game is getting too cluttered. Thousands of weapons, in a game that only lets you use three. The game is getting too unmanageable. They buff an underperforming archetype? A forgotten weapon from years ago becomes overpowered and ruins the meta. Power creep is setting in: Remember the reckoning. You may hate this, but it is good for the game, and good for your experience as a player- though you may not like it now. There must be something to justify the loot chase... and with thousands and thousands of old weapons you can use over new ones, the loot chase dies, along with the game.

It's being done for balance purposes AND to further push the fomo in D2. You either need to not care about the fomo and just play for fun, or care about it enough to try and keep up.....or....move on. Not that difficult to pick one considering the facts. P.S also consider the game breaking bug that you'll definitely encounter each and every season. There won't be a single season that goes live flawlessly because they don't allow themselves the proper amount of time to fix new or old bugs. Edit: Never have nor do I agree with sunsetting. The more I play the stupider it sounds to me. Especially with the infusion/progression system, masterworking, RNG, and basically them bringing back stuff we have. All I'm saying is I don't see them switching gears. The wheels are already turning. And someone at bungie has pride that overshadows the bad idea they have.

Removing Gambit option - and no doubt adding Champion-Gambit instead (mark my words). Removing choice of loadouts via 'elemental' so called affinities, and by making the game all about 'Champions' . Rehashing old content, reissuing weapons to supposedly regrind, reprising the same old cosmetics as engrams with nothing new added. It's all trashed, it's just unplayable.

I wouldn’t mind weapon sunsetting but I don’t want to grind the same weapons. Most of the weapons added this season are not new at all. Now I can understand them giving us the Ikelos weapons since they now have random rolls, but for example giving us gnawing hunger with literally just a symbol change is not what they should ever do. Armor should never be sunset unless the investment is severely reduced, (speaking of investment exotics really should not be 3 shards) and the rng system stat wise has huge overhauls. Preferably though they’d never sunset armor and reduce the material investment

When it comes to weapons i was gonna wait and see what new weapons they added before forming an opinion, but they reissued 14 weapons and added only 6 new ones (about 1 or 2 of which that are actually interesting). My biggest issue is that pinnacles are getting sunset, they're some of my favourite weapons. They're cool, some of the most fun weapons there are in the game and they're also (mostly) good.

2 отв.For all armor you will be to turn it into an ornament so you won't have to worry about how u look. As for stats u will really only have to change armor like once or twice every year. It's really not as bad as u think. For weapons it's just to change up the meta cause it hasn't changed. Us veteran player have no reason to get new weapons for end game so this is a nice refresh without completely having to restart

Gotta a agree. Like ok, i can understand there are guns that are causing problems in the game, i get it, i really do, im looking at you recluse and mountain top. I love those guns, they are a blast, but i would much rather them nerf those ones into the group then punush all of the weapons. I would not have cared if they would have excluded pinnacle weapons from sun-setting. But they did not, and we all know damn well, that the sun setting is because of a a few handful of weapons. Mind benders, Spare rations, recluse, revoker, mountain top. These were all problamatic weapons, that bungie should have just nerfed, but because of their lazy solution, now you have weapons getting sun setted and were just fine, or worse yet, never even got their chance to shine. Like think about it, oxygen, literally one of the coolest concepts for a scout rifle, never once, EVER, made it into the meta or was ever useful, now? its gonna never get the chance to be. Destiny was always about players being able to play their power fantasy class, that they wanted to, but thats being removed because of poor game design.

4 отв.Don't get your hopes up, they've had months of extremely negative feedback on this and have only doubled down. If you really hate this as much as I do, really do consider just quitting. I won't return in September after 3000+ hours and I've made my peace with that. There's other great games that deserve to be played, games that actually respect your time. Going through the constant frustrations several times a year with Destiny just isn't worth it anymore.

Bungle has exactly zero clue, and zero credibility. They are fast becoming one of the worst developers ever. Destiny is just a grind fest. Then these MORONS take away the stuff we were grinding for???? They couldn’t be stupider if they tried! Then we complain and what do the geniuses at Bungle do? They Sunset a bunch of PLANETS! Then mister throw money at the screen tells us he thinks [i][b]THIS SEASON IS GOING TO BE THE BEST EVER???[/b][/i]

DESTINY NEEDS SUNSETTING OR IT WILL DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:(((((((((((((((( Then we can all be happy when we realise that there won't be any 'real' permanent progression in the game and any progress you do make is reset. :) So if you like grinding power by doing the same activities over and over I guess thats your permanent progression now lol.
