Whatever happened to we get to keep our stuff through our Destiny career? I know this waved bye-bye when D2 came out, but at least there was story to lend credence to our stuff being gone. This feels like a lazy way that Bungie wants to make us use new stuff because they're tired of us using the old stuff. Okay, I'll play ball but Bungie should not implement Sunsetting on Armor or Pinnacle/Ritual Weapons. The players who worked to grind out an armor set with the exact stats they wanted, then Masterworked that entire set of armor and also ground out most, if not all, of the Pinnacle/Ritual weapons shouldn't be punished because they put time into the game. This also feels like another way to try to get the new/free to play players on an even playing field with veteran players and that is just wrong. If they want to be up to snuff they need to put in the time like all of us veterans have. Enough said.

I understand the wanting to get something fresh into the game. Think it’s time wasted. Maybe, they should work on fixing PVP . Like improving matchmaking and dedicated servers. The game has flaws . We know it’s a grind and many of us are willing to deal with that part. Thinking it’s just time to fix the inconsistencies and build from there.

3 отв.Do you think bungie is capable of properly balancing pvp and pve activities and gear?

7 отв.Pinnacle weapons are the reason we are sunsetting: Mountaintop, Recluse, Loaded Question, Wendigo, 21% Delerium, Revoker, all of which are top tier picks. Moving forward, there are two ways to handle these weapons. 1. Nerf these weapons into the ground so they are useful in NO activities. 2. Sunset them so they are useful in MOST activities. You choose. The same can apply to other weapons to a much lesser extent, but the same still applies. It is a way to shift the meta for new endgame activities while still allowing those weapons to be top tier for the rest of the game's activities. I'll throw you a bone when it comes to armor, this shouldn't happen unless there are more robust ways to farm high stat armor moving forward.

1 ответDo you remember in D1 when taken king came out and all the weapons had a power cap and we all had to get new gear and it was a lot of fun? I do. Then we got new gear and Rise of Iron came out and we started over again farming new weapons and armour. Then D2 reset us all to nothing. Year one guns had one perk no random rolls Year two we got random rolls Year three we got armour 2.0 Year four we get new guns because the game is getting stale for those of us that put any time into it. You want to cry about regearing up to be relevant in new content now when that’s what we have been doing for six years? What’s unacceptable is the amount of whiners those of us that put an effort into the game have to listen to about sun setting and how “it’s too expensive to masterwork new armour”. You get a year to level your gear up plus can reclaim materials from previous gear to help pay for it. What unacceptable is people recovering accounts and selling guns to lazy bums without the skill to earn them themselves. What’s unacceptable is the amount of cheating when it comes to anything labeled “competitive” in this game because many of the community don’t have the morality and work ethic to do anything for themselves. Why is it unacceptable to force your game to grow?

1 ответThe biggest issue I see why bungie wants to sunset our weapons is due to pinnacle weapons being too strong and the reason why noone wants to use normal legendaries or grind for new legendary weapons when they could just use pinnacle weapons instead. My solution sunset all pinnacle weapons but add an exotic version that you obtain at the same time when you obtain a pinnacle weapon. This way if you want to use your old pinnacle weapon in end game content you can but it will cost you your exotic slot. All pinnacles would need a stronger version though for their exotic equivalent though in some cases...(some would just be buffed to their previous state those that are lack lust oxygen would have triple tap and explosions closer to the size of sun shot and add extra damage for each stack of meganura)

Изменено (ValorDLX): 5/18/2020 3:27:32 PMMy understanding is that it's just pve weapons and armor that will be affected (specifically legendaries and probably blues too). Exotics will carry through the entire franchise. The pvp side of things I believe will be unaffected as things are normalized unless it's iron banner or Trials of Osiris where light level will matter. So we'll have to manage our gear well for strikes, Nightfalls, raids/dungeons at higher light levels, trials, iron banner, and new Collapse dlc story missions. Otherwise, I think we'll be fine for most pvp modes, alot of the strikes, and content from season 1-11. I honestly don't recall if "sunsetting" will take effect in season 11 or in season 12 with the Collapse dlc. And from what I've seen, they've only upped the light level to 1050 or 1060 I believe, so it seems like sunsetting will be more prevalent as they years go by and it might not affect gameplay as deeply as we're thinking for at least a handful more seasons. I dunno...I don't like it either, but I don't think it'll destroy the game. Hopefully it'll pan out...If not...You can bet content creators and daily/weekly player numbers will FORCE the developers into adjusting the game more the way we prefer it--assuming it isn't received well--causing them to just be more creative with the gear system...And trust me, they will listen. They don't want people bailing. And they shouldn't. There's a TON of fun competition with new games coming out in the Fall...If they mess up after that point, they'll be hit hard enough that they might not recover. They need to consider that big time. Just have faith for now. The community absolutely will respond and the devs will respond to the feedback favorably. If content creators hate it, they'll change it. I feel like they don't weigh the forums as much in decisions tbh.😅

6 отв.Piss off with your rubbish opinion. Sunsetting is there to save destiny. New content coming up will keep new kegendaries relevant. Stop being a whiny little -blam!- and get used to the fact the game is changing around you. Are you spamming mountaintop and jotuns? Guess what, there will be new exotics to grind, and then a year later, more new grind. What harm in that. Pleb.

2 отв.Bungie has stated in the past that they cannot keep up with the workload of having a vendor refresh every year as well as a bunch of new guns every year. It wasn’t that long ago that they said that kind of pace wasn’t realistic for them and they actually referenced that season of the drifter, black armory, and season of opulence was too stressful for them.... yet here people like you are saying you don’t even know how many guns they are going to release..... honestly it will probably be somewhere around five new guns a season and a whole bunch of old guns thrown in as well. This is what they have been doing since shadowkeep which by the way was the SMALLEST yearly dlc to date. They haven’t been releasing much content this year and their excuse was once again.... we cannot keep up with the model we had before shadowkeep and it was too stressful on our developers. This was their whole reason for shifting to the current model.... well that and money but as I was saying. I should take this time to mention that Forsaken, Season of the drifter, black armory, and season of opulence all put together added less content than The Taken King did back in destiny 1. In the taken King we experienced gear retirement but what came with it was an across the board refresh to every vendor in the game. This included crucible, vanguard, new monarchy, Dead orbit, Future War Cult, Iron Banner, Trials of Osiris, Prison of elders, Petra Venj..... those were just the vendors. We also got all new strike specific loot, all new exotic quests, all new world drops, and a bunch of new exotic weapons and armor. That is why the taken King was ok but this is not. Bungie will not be able to do that kind of update to weapons and armor every single year considering we have had the same set of iron banner weapons since forsaken, the same set of vanguard weapons since forsaken, the same set of crucible weapons since forsaken, and the same set of gambit weapons since forsaken. They did add a few more weapons for gambit prime and reckoning but that came in a different dlc and it was the only weapons they released for that dlc..... unless they take the taken king approach to this(which they won’t) this will only piss off and alienate their community after this falls flat on its face.....
