Do you have a Technicolor or Thompson modem?
English
-
I guess no one has an answer?
-
You didn’t answer my question. Have you spoken to your ISP about this?
-
No I haven't. I don't really consider it an option though, as it's probably too much trouble to do so.
-
You’re paying them. That’s what they are there for.
-
It's not that, it's something else, which would make it not worth it for this 1 game that I've barely played and won't know if I'll even like.
-
That’s your decision to make. But, the error code is pretty cut and dry.
-
No, TP link (extension) and one provided by my ISP. I tried both, and neither gave different results.

Изменено (Crisidelm): 3/24/2020 5:35:05 PMYup, Technicolor DGA4130 with custom TIM Firmware; you can try this Open your browser, type 192.168.1.1 and press enter. Login password should be simply "admin". Management page of the router should open, go to "Servizi WAN", "Mostra opzioni avanzate", in UPnP makes sure "Modalità di sicurezza avanzata" is OFF and the other two options are ON. Save and return to main management page. Go to "Firewall", set the slider of the firewall to "Livello - low", "Risposta a tutti i ping IPv4" should be set to "ON", and the other two options about IPv6 to OFF, "Salva" and exit. You can reboot the router if you want but it shouldnm't be strictly necessary, then try to launch and play D2.

Изменено (SuperNinjaPedro1): 3/24/2020 7:23:32 PMAny risks to setting the Firewall level to low and turning off advanced security mode? Also, I can't find the advanced security mode option in the first part of your instructions.
-
Did you push on "Mostra opzioni avanzate"? Unfortunately, if you want to have a chance at playing D2 you've got to try those options, but if you're uncomfortable leave them as they are; I doubt D2 will ever work for you though. Your best option is to ask TIM for a different router, but the only non-Technicolor router that they offer is the Fritz!Box 7590, but you need a SUPER contract to get it afaik.
-
I did it anyway, but I can't find "Servizi WAN" anywhere. I found a couple "Mostra opzioni avanzate" but nothing with UPNP and "Modalità di sicurezza avanzata".
-
I fear you might have a Technicolor TG789vac v2, in which case there isn't much to try other than setting the Firewall to basso/low...
-
Can you post a screenshot of your router management page?
-
Here it is. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-3HsHlkgGI-0/Xnp87SRxLsI/AAAAAAAACqE/9gRknGnMpDA4GtLHpVIn_nqK0PxEGXcnwCK8BGAsYHg/s0/2020-03-24.png
-
Yeah, as I feared it's a Technicolor TG789vac v2, which has far less options and less possibilities to circumvent Technicolor's FW shortcomings. If the Firewall set to low/basso doesn't solve your problem with D2, nothing else will....

Изменено (SuperNinjaPedro1): 3/24/2020 9:53:53 PMWell RIP because I tried that and I still was disconnected. Although it did let me a bit farther into the intro this time, but still the same result. Thank you for taking time out of your day to help me though. I do appreciate it.

Have you spoken to your ISP about this?

What's your ISP?
-
-
I thought so; then it's very probable that your modem/router is a rebranded Technicolor. Can you post a picture of it?
-
Here: https://gizblog.it/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/TIM_FIBRA_200_MB_Technicolor_DGA4130_2.png The image is the same if not similar to the one in my house.
-
Well I guess the image url indicates that it's technicolor then.
