I think the drip feed is worse than the annual pass. Please bungie, let’s go back to regular expansions. You don’t have the pressure of Activision. Take your time and make something of substance. Either a house of wolves sized expansion with a raid every few months or one Forsaken+ expansion once a year. Taking your time would refine the product for us and reduce stress on your team. PLEASE consider!!!!!!
Edit1: Thanks for all the input guys. This blew up nicely.
Cozmo and Dmg, if you read this, please relay it to the team. I think it would be easier on you guys this way, but you would know better than us. If we could have some transparency on this subject. Is it more or less stressful to do only 1-2 major expansions a year?

7 отв.Dripfeed is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the content droughts of yore. Now that D2 is a F2P game, droughts would be... really. Really rough. I don't want it back, sorry. I like having at least a few reasons to log in once a week at a minimum.
-
1 ответBungie can't provide quality updates every 4 to 6 months. I think the community need to adjust their expectations.
-
Yes bungie Take more time Also take more money no problem Chill & relax Then Only then.. give us something JUICY.
-
1 ответFor the love of God Bungie devs listen to this guy. I'm going back to my old ways and playing other games. I miss having Destiny as my main game that I would play and only play all the free time that I've had.

Изменено (whateverman7): 12/22/2019 9:55:47 PMI disagree, i prefer the drip feed. I like having content added over time instead of getting the 1 time large drop, then nothing till the next drop. Those days in d1 were not fun, and the comments/feedback then helped create the drip feed now. And if you add up all the content from the different seasons, they equal a good size expansion, it's just the content is spread out. Also, people have to be realistic. There is only so much content (expansion sizes) that they can put out frequently. That was the issue they ran into with the original plan. There was no way to keep up with that schedule. Not only that, there is no way they can keep up with our (gamers) wants. No matter the size/amount of the content, people burn through it and want more. When they dont get more, they complain and get nasty, which doesnt help.
-
Yeah.. i agree on one end but at the same time remember year long content droughts where I atleast had trials to fill the void.

1 ответI’ve been playing modern warfare and the whole battle pass season events are starting to be the norm

At this point I have no -blam!-ing idea. I agree the drip feed is annoying. The FOMO BS is annoying. I feel like we need a happy medium. A large forsaken sized expansion once a year and some drip fed stuff would be a good balance. Shadowkeep was small. And filled with some poor content. Nightfall ordeals - really bad Nightmare hunts - pointless Pit of heresy - good but drops are rubbish so no point playing Altar of sorrow - pointless now Armour 2.0 - rubbish The only reason I am playing just now is so I don't miss out on any season pass.content that I have paid for. And that's it. Yes the dawning season so far has been ok, mainly as the Saint 14 stuff has been quite good and interesting, but the reality is that was 2 campaign missions with loaaaaads of busy work in-between. Also... I really like the artifact idea. But.... Last season's artifact mods where way better than this year's. I love destiny. But it feels like each year we meander to a new way to fix things, that ultimately doesn't work out then the next year is spent doing something different. For me the roadmap to success was how D1 ended. I was really happy with everything post TTK. Vanilla D2 was shit. Forsaken fixed it and was great and it now feels like it's lost its way again as we spend a new year trying new shit out.
-
The Taken King was such a success due to its format. There was so much to do and so much to explore in the Dreadnought alone that made it worth while. Forsaken was almost at that level, with two new locations and plenty of activities to play including what was new back then: gambit, the blind well, the last wish raid and the shattered throne dungeon. I want to see another expansion like TTK
-
What's a high quality expansion that's last a year? And who else puts out quality expansions every 4 to 6 months. The problem with the Community is that they always want it different to how they are given it.
-
5 отв.I just hate the “you should’ve been there then” format. I want to take a break from the game. But with cool as armor ornaments and shit in the season pass feels like a job.
-
2 отв.Wheres the Destiny 3 option with expansions
-
8 отв.Quality expansion every 4 to 6 months. Cannot realistically be done. Scares me so many people voted for it. No wonder this game keeps going down hill.
-
1 ответAgree, I deleted the game. This latest money grab is the last straw. I've bought everything from day one and even pre-ordered Shadowkeep. Now to continue It says I need to spend more money. Its not the money, I can afford it, its the principle. Bungie wont get another dollar from me with this latest greed grab.

Изменено (CynicSonic): 12/22/2019 10:46:06 AM4-6 months is not enough time to create a quality expansion. Pick 1 year.

Изменено (iliopoulosXD): 12/22/2019 1:50:19 PMWhat's really terrible right now in addition to time gated drip feed quests .masquerading as content...the overall quality of the quest steps. Just last uninspired trash.

3 отв.Yup I think I preferred the every 6 month expansions like in d1 to this shit
-
1 ответI don’t mind the seasonal format at all, except that a lot of it is busy work to make up for lack of overall content. What i’d want personally is the current format with cheap seasonal passes (Dawn is sooooo much better than Undying), but also a new destination roughly every 6 months, but I just think it’d be too much content for them to make. But then again, Shadowkeep was considered a ‘big’ expansion, but it was incredibly shallow.

7 отв.Изменено (AlieN_x_HuMaN): 12/20/2019 9:35:32 PMIts such a double edged sword. Staggered release definitely provides something new to do each week, but it doesnt feel exciting. Think about Rise of Iron. Hype to release. Story was short, but fine. End game was basically the seasonal activity Archons Forge, obtaining artifacts, strike loot, raid and exotic quests. And you could say that we have all of that and maybe even more with the current format. But it feels like busy work and not a full fledged thing. I do have to give credit to bng for thinking a lot of things through. Yeah yeah, no one wants to hear that, but it's true.
-
1 ответThis is definitely not a good expansion content wise. The seasonal mods, perks and weapon choice for mods is pretty boring. Sundial isn’t fun either. Ordeal nightfall’s not exciting either. Destiny 2 is in a state almost as bad as year 1. I enjoyed year 2 much better than year 3. Struggling to play when I log in and now I’m struggling to log in. Destiny has lost it flair and I think it’s life cycle is ending. It’s time for Bungie to retire the destiny franchise and start something new IMO.
-
A healthy balance would be to have a small team devoted to seasonal events and etc., and have a major working group hammer out new storylines, advancing plots, expansions, etc. I don't know what boat they're in now that they don't have the "assistance" from Activision.
-
2 отв.so you want 1 small expansion to drop every 6 months and then radio silence till the next one? they did that twice now and both times it sucked. drip feed with 3 month narratives have the player base at an all time high. its nice having something new every 7-14 days...
-
1 ответDrip feed is fine as long as the yearly expansion is quality and quantity. Forsaken was great, and TTK was great. ROI and this year’s expansions are not good enough. I would rather they take 13-18 months between major releases to make sure they are amazing, and sell the season as an add on. They are fine as additional content for the more “hardcore” players, but not as content that needs to be relied on to carry us forward.
-
24 отв.Drip feed is the way to go in any game like Destiny because it works for both no-lifers and casuals. People will complain about content drought that happened in D1 and some parts of D2.
