Bungie, you guys dropped the ball on this f'n hard!
We waited weeks for the final encounter and it's the same exact shit we been (haven't been playing cause it was fun for a week or 2) playing. Just a different boss, exact encounter lol.

I thought we'd be going in the vault of glass to face this thing.
Like, in the vault of glass, at the first encounter. All that would be removed but wave of hard enemies would be there. After beating them, a chest appears. Then we travel further down the vault. Again, more enemies with their OP shields. Like 10 of those new enemies. Hell, 20. Pass that, move on to the undying mind at the very bottom where we fought Atheon.
But here, It's the vex mind with just chaos, no strats or holding down plates, just chaos.
After we beat him, a final chest, in it, the vex mythoclast.
How you guys can't think of something like that in 2 seconds is mind blowing.

8 отв.You know what was the worst part? Doing that trash 3 times to finish the seal, i felt disgusted. Anyone who would still run that shit after they got the title should see a doctor.

16 отв.While I wholeheartedly agree Bungie done goofed here, if you even thought for a second the Vault of Glass would have anything to do with the Final Assault, you were setting yourself up for disappointment. I personally was hoping they would do something interesting with the plates. Like say the boss just stays up at the front at first. You take down the immunity shield the first time, and the boss would teleport to one of the plates. But instead of just shooting his shield down the same way, you would have players stand in the other 2 plates to summon oracles. Shoot those oracles to take down the shield. A minor, but notable change in the encounter to keep it interesting.

9 отв.I actually agree with criticism on this topic, but the level of drama on many of these posts is just obnoxious. You can't possibly be THIS disappointed with how it turned out.

The Undying Mind is a specifically Black Garden based entity, it would be silly for the encounter to take place anywhere else. I just wish it was something remotely climactic. Like maybe, you know, going through the portal to play some original content and face off against the Undying Mind in an awesome final confrontation. The only thing I like about what we got is the music that plays during the encounter. That said, while I was being dramatic for the sake of this post I don't really care too much, because I was expecting this more or less. Much less angry than I am simply dissapointed.

I mean, this was a strike boss, not the templar. I agree that it could have been better but I'm not sure going into the vault of glass makes a lot of sense.

I agree, it really makes me wonder if the team at bungie thinks much past “how can we make this for as little effort as possible, for as much as our player base will pay?” No offense, because I get that these are real people. But come on. When you’re releasing such lackluster content that people are practically begging for a reskin just so that we could have ANYTHING else, it really starts to make you wonder.

I think people set expectations way too high for this. I mean how much did you really expect them to invest in a 1 time event that only lasts 3 weeks? That being said, I do agree it was pretty underwhelming, and my expectations were already pretty low. I fee like they could have greatly improved it with a tiny bit of extra effort.
