Best of luck on this. The "nerf" spoken of applies to the perks involved, which just so happen to effect the weapon. This might be a matter of just asking to swap out perks then, since the perk changes would be across the board for all guns that receive these perks. It may not be feasible to reverse a damage based perk without breaking the rest of the guns. Now I've referenced what I believe are the notes about the change.
