I would like further information regarding why my account was put on a crucible restriction. I live in the middle of a cornfield in Michigan and the highest speed internet I have access to is what I have. I am not trying to purposely have crap internet. If I could get higher I would. The only reason I play crucible is to attain the weapons only available via crucible. With the recent changes to Competitive I started trying to attempt to get the weapons that required reaching 2100 Glory because it finally became attainable for me. But I feel like a restriction for something that is out of my control is a little harsh, especially when I am just trying to acquire weapons that are locked behind this mode.
I understand bans and restrictions for players who are intentionally and blatantly trying to gain an advantage. But I am an average player at best and if you look at my stats and game history that shows as i barely have a 1.0 K/D average.
Please just provide me with more information or something because I have been a supporter of this game franchise from Day 1 and it is my favorite game and I have spent 1000s of hours between D1 and D2 playing.

Your account was restricted on Nov 10th due to extremely poor network connectivity that was negatively impacting other players' experience. Specifically, we detected consistently high latency on your connection of over 500ms. You were initially sent a warning about your connection quality on March 2nd. Per our bans and restrictions policies page:
Additionally, Bungie may issue restrictions or bans to accounts that have consistent unstable connections when playing Destiny, as this negatively impacts other players. For steps on how to stabilize your network and connection quality, please follow the Network Troubleshooting Guide.
We understand that network connections can experience temporary issues, and do not apply these types of restrictions lightly. We require a consistent pattern of poor connection that is harming the experience of others before we apply a restriction. I strongly encourage you to visit the Network Troubleshooting Guide for help improving the stability of your connection. Please be advised that if you continue to play with poor connection quality in Competitive game modes after your restriction has been lifted, your next restriction will be for 2 months.

You don't have a right to ruin a match for 11 other people just because you want to play. Kind of like you don't get to take your bicycle on the freeway just because you don't have a car.

I'm surprised you can even manage to play on Michigan cornfield internet because I grew up in the back 40 and cornfield internet was about as effective as two tin cans and a string.

What information are you looking for? Keep in mind restrictions are not only for those who intentionally are attempting to gain an advantage but also those who have a negative impact on those they are playing with/against. Below I quoted and linked the Bungie article from when they began enforcement of their standards.
Beginning soon, players with the most unreliable connections will receive an in-game warning. We know that connection quality is fluid, so don’t worry if you have occasional, temporary issues. If you receive one of these warnings, please visit the Network Troubleshooting Guide. If your connection does not improve, there are additional guides available that can help you in diagnosing advanced network issues. If all else fails, contact your ISP for assistance. If your connection does not improve after an in-game warning, and we continue detecting a negative impact on other Guardians, restrictions from PvP activities may be applied to your account. If a restriction is applied to your account, you will be unable to participate in PvP for two weeks. If you continue to play on an unreliable connection that harms the experience of other players, that restriction may be extended.
(source) If for some reason you are not able to improve the stability of your connection, it is recommended to refrain from playing pvp activities as the negative side effects of your connection will lead to longer restrictions. Connection based restrictions: 1st is 2 weeks 2nd is 2 months 3rd is permanent If you would like assistance in troubleshooting, please list: Tested up and download speeds Latency Jitter Packet Loss How are you connected to the router *I am not a Bungie representative, just a player trying to give the answers that are available.

If you don't have broadband internet you should not be allowed to play this game. After all, those are the requirements.
