Why is it that it is now VERY common for people to just run through content? It's always happened, but not to this extent.
I know, I know, let's not shoot anything in a shooter, that would be ridiculous!
The newest strike allows you to skip half of it by just running through all the enemies. But when someone is working on bounties they get screwed because you are pulled forward multiple times and spawn surrounded by enemies with your "teammates" nowhere to be found because they are already in the next area and then you are immediately pulled ahead again.
Seriously, if you are bored with the game, don't ruin it for everyone else and go find a nice solo game to play.

I would like a nightfall playlist. Or!!! Parkour strikes!!! The titanfall gauntlet is still played over and over again just because people want to see how fast they can go. Maybe speed runs should be their own thing.
-
I run strike for the powerful gear, I’ll run ahead if I won’t die. I run nightfalls for a challenge. Bounties, if I don’t kill them fast enough someone else will take em. I got 2 hours every morning to play I’m not sticking around for every little thing.

Изменено (kinga): 10/22/2019 3:34:06 PMI hate when people run through .... too. but for me that goes for all match making content or shared content....not trying to make public event heroic. If better awards or rewards were waited for completion and it was stated in the TWAB and truly did occur, it likely would get better for all.
-
Cause no body got time for that
-
Until I get banned for running to the boss I’ll keep doing it Sorry

Изменено (spillmeguts): 10/22/2019 1:13:21 PMI'd just like it that when people clearly see someone working on bounties / trying to kill the wanted escapee, whatever... that they also help out. So what if your strike run takes a few minutes longer? Take the Inverted Spire... when I've seen someone going for Bracus Rulaitl (for example), I help out. And I'd say more than half the time the third guardian - who definitely landed with the two of us in that area - speeds off and pulls us both into the boss fight before the champion is killed. And seeing it's pretty obvious when you're not being followed... why not just cool your jets? As everything D2 is now about XP... everyone should be running bounties in strikes. Great that you're not - but consider that others are. EDIT: I should also make it clear that when it's obvious the others are speed running the strike, I go with the flow. I'm also not going to make their life hard by standing still shooting things.
-
Because that’s the point, beat the game to stop playing the game 🤓
-
People want to get their stuff in two weeks and then play something else till next season.
-
Cause I’m here to complete bounties and level up. Not get strike high score that’s why.
-
It's especially annoying in the Ordeal Nightfall, as people often don't seem to realise that your loot is directly linked with killing the champions (Bungie do a very poor job of explaining this, in game). I'm behind trying to kill the damn thing myself and get pulled forward by eager team mates.
-
Изменено (Lyrro): 10/23/2019 2:48:26 AMThis is a side effect of Destiny's grindy loot system. Up till now, loot drops in strikes did not take into account the number of kills or how well you play. Running past everything to get to the chest is the most efficient farming method, as the sooner you get that dice roll the sooner you can get to the next dice roll. I'm not saying I do this, nor that I think this should be how it is, it just is. Fortunately, Bungie is attempting to fix this in the 920+ Ordeal strikes. Loot is based more on killing champions, so players are less inclined to just skip everything to get that dice roll from the chest. I'd like to see team scoring added to vanguard strikes, where higher scores means better loot. Something to encourage players to actually play rather than sprint through.

Its annoying but thats why when Im working on Strike bounties I load up Solo. Beats having to deal with that.

Изменено (L0PSIDE): 10/22/2019 12:52:25 PMReally dislike when others charge through strikes. Had to ask someone to slow down when shadow keep dropped. The response they gave was they have completed everything allready so they dont care. Ended up missing the witch for the new exotic rocket as I was messaging them and had to run it again(first run through looking for her so wasn't sure where she was going to spawn). I always stop to make sure people aren't needing anything as I know how frustrating it can be
-
I tend to run through strikes fast, except I’m killing everything while I’m doing it....
-
If you need Bounties, load up a Nightfall. Nightfalls don't have Matchmaking. Only reason to play normal Strikes is for the Powerful Reward. And it's still arguably not worth it at that.
-
Изменено (Viguier): 10/22/2019 2:20:43 PMI really hate when people skip everything in strikes, why do they even play strikes? That's why i want optional matchmaking, strikes are so easy, i can do them alone.
-
Because the grind is THAT stupid that speedrunning is the only way to get it done in a reasonable amount of time.
-
We don't want to spend 30 mins playing every strike when we have to 10/20/30 strikes. We have better things to do instead of holding hands to casual who want to do sightseeing around a strike. If you want to do zavalla bounties load up one of the old nightfalls and do them there alone.
-
That's why i always play solo when i want to do strikes and bounties. I think that's only possible on PS4 but at least i dont ruin the fun for others, and they dont ruin my fun.
-
I like those rushers, especially when they die trying to push through a horde without shooting. I catch up to them then, stop for a quick teabag and go on doing my thing clearing bounties. ;)
-
Yeah, ima just keep scootin through strikes
-
..... You must be new here. Ever since D1 most of this has been the case.
-
Bungie really helps that view currently. Destiny 2 is super easy to put down and walk away without "finishing" it. Bad grind, bad incentive, uninteresting narrative, bad game modes in general, and terrible looking armor with most of the great cosmetics behind Eververse.
-
Probably because they are sick of running the same old strikes and just want to get the 3 weeklys done.
-
Because those people enjoy the new content. Not the old content for the 8 billionth time.
-
There is a huge difference between just pushing out content to get it out the door vs quality content. When you figure that out, you will understand why.
