Not even 3 weeks, and all content that is getting me progress is one raid and one 100k per week... with this, not even with 100% good luck in not getting duplicates, it is less than 1 powerlevel per week... so, we are already back at playing just 1-2 hours after weekly reset and quit until next tuesday... wow....

Level up the artifact and continue your grind.

Изменено (PilksUK): 10/21/2019 3:01:00 PMYou have hit max light that's what you need to think from now on as others have pointed out even with perfect RNG there is not enough pinnacle rewards for anybody to hit 960 base level in a single season. Hitting rank 100 and leveling the artifact seems to be the focus Bungie wants people to be on not hitting max light.
-
well at least now you can hit max light but continue to progress through your artifact which upgrades from normal play allowing you to do whatever you want to progress.

Isn’t the point of the roadmap to drop new content each week so players have something to do? Power level at 950 is not the only thing to grind for in this game. Next week we have leviathans bow exotic and then the following week is festival of the lost which runs 3 weeks. We also have a dungeon and another exotic quest coming out that week. Power isn’t the only thing to work for in this game. While I am sure our playtime will be reduced with each week and the activities introduced will only distract us for a little bit, that’s okay. I have other games I have to beat :) I know this changes a bit if you don’t own the season pass but you still get new content to drop giving players a reason to come back. I’m okay if that means for much less time than grinding 950. It’s still a reason to come back.

The game is essentially lacking content. Well..there are time gates and weapon quests...but the game is only worth playing free at this point. The horde mode is trash and the DLC itself if an uninspired embarrassment of lazy delivery of the absolutely minimum development.
-
Does anyone honestly care about 960? If so, why?
-
Honestly, the only reason you’d need to be over 950 is if you do those 2 activities and a slight advantage in IB. Leveling past 950 will be a slog anyway.
-
This is one of the changes in game direction that you need to wrap your head around. Before being Lvl 30 as opposed to Forever 29 mattered. Your damage output and your ability to take damage was noticeably improved once you hit Lvl 30. Now, your Lvl matters little. There’s absolutely no benefit or gain by increasing past 950 hence why there are only a couple of activities the offer +1 drops. The game has changed. The shooting mechanics are still top notch. Go blast something in the face!
-
No the reward is go to play other games and than come back for another season.
-
Yea.. that was the biggest issue people had since curse of Osiris that there's no reason to hit max power it's not like you get some secret reward or secret activities for being max power. Power is just a number power level is another way just to show off your ego. If you are between 925 and 930 power you can literally do an activity that's 940. also it's not like if you complete the milestone on harder nightfalls that you are going to get a powerful reward than the normal reward you literally get the same power drop as if you're doing normal for the milestone. Bungie doesn't believe in player diversity they don't believe in risk vs reward versus players time. The fact bungee ignoresrisk vs reward vs. Players time that's why people leave the game in massive numbers becausenot every player is a mindless zombie when people do harder activities they expect to be rewarded for it they expect to not waste their time. Ex vex offencive

I think the intention was to create a power level that was more prestige than necessary. Even the craziest most invested players can't reach 960 armor light, although I suspect that both the dungeon and vex final assault will offer pinnacle rewards later in the season. Some players missed the prestige of max light level from D1. This is sort of a return to this, but without gate-keeping content from people who can't reach it. 950 is currently enough light to do everything in the game (assuming you have 10ish extra light from your artifact as well at that point) Personally I haven't made up my mind about it yet, but I'm definitely not focusing on reaching 960 armor. To me 950 is the cap, and now its time to focus on builds and getting the perfect armor setup.
-
i never understood why people don't play the game for fun. There are plenty of activities worth playing. Why not just play the game for fun instead of only playing to power up?
-
If the only reason you play is to increase a number then yes.
-
What happened to the friendgame???
-
I know how you feel..... bought a bag of Halloween candy for the trick or tritters and ate the whole thing as soon as I got home, now I have nothing to hand out and cant celebrate Halloween.
-
Yep. I can't get to 951 power until I get a class item. Got almost all duplicates from the IB bounties. Cool.
-
dont worry this week i got all my pinnacles, and there all -blam!-ING DUPLICATES!! I CANT EVEN MAX IN 5 MONTHS AT THIS RATE! ANYBODY WANT 5 WARLOCK BONDS AT 951???
-
I like it better when I'm free to do what I want and not grind LL. I can go do triumphs for titles, grind bounties for XP to move up my artifact (which by all appearances is going to keep going up faster than my gear LL at least into the low +20's), finish off some old quests, raid, help people out with other things. Or like with this week, grind my tail off in the IB for those enhanced mods. Your opinion is just as valid as mine, but personally I think LL could just be done away with altogether. It's not why I want to play, it's just something I have to get out of the way before I can feel free to do what I want.
-
Ive been 966 with all 3 because of the artifact a few days now, was 950+ with all 3 characters for at least a week now. Getting to 950 is easy, the amount of work you have to do to a get a single 951 drop is where the problem lies.
-
I hit 950 on all characters. There is still a reason to play. All activities generate XP for continued leveling. I’ll hit 965 tonight or tomorrow with the artifact boost. Plus you can earn titles, mods, weapons. I’m personally overwhelmed by the content to do. I think the season being shortened by 2 weeks is making everything feel rushed. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to earn the Undying title in time but Im trying.
-
you’ve been rewarded already, the reward is you being fustrated and post about your fustration in the bungie forums, thats the free reward bungie gives to everyone.
-
the only thing I;m focusing on is the Season Pass, as its content I paid for. If I get to hard cap through doing the weeklies then i can stop there and not play this shit ever again.
-
Destiny never had progression after the hard cap. The idea is leveling past 950 is for the hard core Destiny players who continue to play while most quit after they hit 950. It's a system that continues to reward players who never stop playing. Don't feel like you are forced to play after 950. Just finish the season XP rewards and wait for the next if you are not interested in pinnacle activities. They were after all made for the dedicated hardcore base.
-
So far, there are 3 Pinnacle reward sources, Iron Banner, The Raid, and Ordeal Nightfall, but you must remember the Dungeon (a highly soloable activity) is also going to have pinnacle rewards, and they’re looking into making Valor resets award pinnacle rewards
-
Well you can always play crucible... Eh
-
the power level 960 is not even reachable in normla play.. heck even with hardcore players , unless you delete a character , make a new one and grind that raid again. its not getting you to 960
