Because it is nowhere near as simple as that! Would you like them to disable izonagis until you can get it? Or maybe skip the quest to auto complete so it disappears without you getting the required artifacts? I assume not...
Also a game breaking problem like telesto that has a simple fix of disabling the weapon which is affecting 100% of players who enter crucible (something that some players only do) is of a higher priority than a more complicated fix for older content that only affects a small number of players when there is also a significant other number of activities they can take part in for the time being!
It will take them a while to find the bug let alone work out a fix for it! Don’t knock them for not caring about PvE content when that is over 3/4 of the game content in reality...

The problem is, it is a simple fix. They're the ones who caused the "bug". The quest to get the key mould drops from killing vex. With the launch of shadowkeep, they intentionally removed the quest from the vex drop table rendering it impossible to get. All it takes is a quick add to the drop table and magic, everyone's problems are solved. Whats absolutely pathetic is this fix is wasting time, while they've also decided to time game the actual quest itself by making forges rotate daily. This is completely their fault and should not take 3 weeks to fix when they're the ones who literally removed it intentionally.
