When you buy a Season Pass in a game like Fortnite, you are paying for exclusive cosmetic items to earn in the game for that season.
When you buy a Season Pass in a game like Destiny, you are getting actual content in addition to these items.
Sure, the Season Pass seems light in terms of cosmetics, but your $10 is going towards seasonal content, not cosmetics.

🤢🤢🤢🤢. Sorry but when someone mentions fortnite it makes me physically sick. I just hear an army of squeaky 5 year olds screaming down the mic. Stuff of nightmares

mute... you can do it as well. if you can’t even do that... anyway I‘m not supporting fortnite. I just said it’s better than D2 with the way how they sell the game.

that’s a bad comparison! fortnite has free content and the cosmetics costs while Destiny/Bungie puts money in eververse/cosmetics and content which even disappears!
My brother plays fortnite so don’t ask...

fortnite has free content
Destiny 2 is now free with the release of New Light. The Base game, all strikes, year 1 raids, armor 2.0, the seasonal artifact, all patrol destinations, all PVP maps, and the free track for seasonal rank rewards which offers the same gear except for ornaments. Destiny 2 has free content, just like Fornite, the difference is that paying for a Season Pass in Destiny 2 gives additional content and cosmetics while the Season Pass for Fortnite only gives additional cosmetics with no new content.

There we go again... IT WAS NOT FREE! Bungie made it free, because they know exactly that someone who never played Destiny would never buy D2 now if every DLC including base game still costs! for someone new it‘s way to expensive! They made the things from the past free, BUT NOT SK and the Y3Seasonpass! and let‘s not forget about those who spend all their money in D2... it‘s not cheap if you look back now! On the other hand epic game makes every content from the beginning free! but battle pass costs each season... One important thing is that you can buy the battlepass without spending real money. you can grind it out in PvE.

That's a bad argument, it's similar to the arguments made in Destiny 1. Between Destiny 1 Vanilla, The Dark Below, House of Wolves, the Taken King, and Rise of Iron, players who started in the beginning spent about $180, yet, new players could get the Destiny The Collection for about $60 which included all of that content. Why did veteran players have to pay more? Because they were able to play the content for the prior 2 years. Same thing applies here. The reason I bring up the free game now is because you can now compare it to games like Fortnite, you weren't able to a year ago. Compare the game as it stands today, a player with the base New Light game plus the Season Pass for $10, compare that to the Fortnite season pass, and what do you get:
Destiny 2 has free content, just like Fornite, the difference is that paying for a Season Pass in Destiny 2 gives additional content and cosmetics while the Season Pass for Fortnite only gives additional cosmetics with no new content.
