No, Bungie needs to stop cutting corners and bring factions back, and people need to stop trying to give them the easy way out. We pay Bungie to do their job, not half... things and call it good.

I enjoy the other content they've made way more than factions. Factions are good for cosmetics and they should exist as a small side thing to get cool shaders and class items. Other than that, I really don't care about them and I hope they never come back.
-
For me it's not just factions and Bungie said they would be back but were are they? Then there are things like IB that wasn't updated for a year now being a new expansion, no new weapons? Too many excuse comes from this company and not enough action.
-
Just gonna summarize with. Bungie lies? A good amount of the time. As I have heard the developers say. They know most of what the community wants. They just have an ever-shifting priority list. I'm imagining Faction Rallies are at the bottom of the list. As well as IB weapons. My whole thing with the IB weapons is that I seriously don't care about them. Unless there are new perks they will never be the best guns. So I'm not going to use them or grind for them. Armor however, is cosmetic and can fit any perk now. Those are worth grinding for.

The key word you used is priority and things like Eververse shouldn't be a priority over everything else in the game. There is too much attention on Eververse and not the in-game content when it comes to everything else being a looter shooter.
-
What can we say, we like killing a bunch of things while looking good.
-
No, we pay Bungie for the right to play their game. I hope they never bring factions back. It was wasted resources in d1 and even more in d2.
-
Yeah, we pay them to play, not to make false promises or lie saying factions would be back among other things. So paying them to do their job as they literally said themselves they would do certain things would be correct.
-
You have some nerve to say that Bungie isn’t doing enough. You try making a damn game it takes a long time, and they cut corners BECAUSE YOU COMPLAIN SO DAMN MUCH THAT THEY TRYING TO QUICKLY SATISFY YOU BY QUICKLY SPEWING OUT NEW STUFF FOR YOU. At least show them some damn respect

Изменено (WildSyde): 10/21/2019 3:05:40 PMI don’t have a problem with Bungie not putting bringing back FR and TotN as their highest priority (however I do agree with Odin that Bungie’s apparent priorities of putting Eververse above actual content is bullshit). What I have a problem with is Bungie straight lying to the community and saying “we’re working on them” and “they’ll be back soon.” If they are shelving them either permanently or for the foreseeable future tell us that instead of continue to tell us stuff that isn’t true. We all know FR and TotN aren’t coming back so the least Bungie can do is stop lying to our faces that they are.

FACTS (I somewhat changed my view)

Not my problem they're working with a broken engine and haven't caught up to the 21st century like the rest of the AAA gaming companies have. Or, sticking their manpower on a project that has nothing to do with Destiny. Then again, I don't know of any AAA gaming company in this entire world cried like this to their player base... https://www.denofgeek.com/us/games/destiny/270029/destiny-2-was-reportedly-rebooted-before-release-to-incorporate-more-microtransactions
"What Bungie decided was: 'we can’t do this anymore. This is just too much, this is too hard for us to do - the tools that we work with are really hard to deal with. It’s hard for us to make this much content. It’s just hard making content in general," said Schreier. "They said 'we are going to do a drip feed of smaller stuff, and we're going to put up the Eververse, sell microtransactions, and make money that way.' And Activision said 'okay' - it was a part of their renegotiated deal - and they got to a point where they didn't have to be cranking out as much content. And now they're back to the same pattern, where they have to crank out these DLCs and just be making content constantly."
Have a nice day.

Honestly, I’ve only seen you make what I would call ‘fair comments’. You are a paying customer after all. I haven’t seen you ask for anything I’d consider ‘too much’. Especially when you consider the sorts of updates we used to get through the D1 expansions. Can’t even bring factions back as just permanent standard vendors we can visit with random rolled faction gear?
-
I see people all over this forum asking Bungie for a lot of things and Imo a lot of it doesn't really benefit the game or is a waste of time and resources. Updating the game of what is in it is what should be focused on. Factions are no different then IB, Bungie can bring it and remove it at any given time and if they have time to always make sure Tess inventory is full and gets a full fresh inventory ever DLC. There is no reason that can't do that at all with the factions or other venders in the game. It's not just that either, the excuses Bungie uses has gotten old and this is the latest one https://stevivor.com/features/interviews/destiny-2-vendor-refresh-unlikely-as-bungie-looks-forward/ It's one of the things I'm kind of tired of, Bungie being full of excuses for not updating the game.
-
Especially when it always used to be updated in D1. I’m just meant to lower my expectations now because ‘content is hard’? Nope, doesn’t cut it.
-
-
Seems accurate.
-
Aww thanks you too bruh But accept teh hard truth of factions being probably as gone as Cayde
-
Bungie is justy being lazy with everything in this game other then Eververse. That is the hard truth 😎
-
Well now that destiny is a free to get game they gonna need other ways of making money off this so like silver would probably become more large in eververse wares
-
Well now that destiny is a free to get game they gonna need other ways of making money off this so like silver would probably become more large in eververse wares
You do know this doesn't work after 5 years of the player base forking out more money than most games out today and where is all that money they made? It sure as hell wasn't invested in this game let alone this expansion.
-
Does anyone know why they were removed in the first place. I would love to hear that one. Has bungie ever offered an explanation.
-
Изменено (Dredgen Truth): 10/18/2019 6:07:42 AMBungie actually did a while ago. People were complaining that faction rally wasn't nearly as good as d1 factions and was unnecessarily grindy (both true) and they removed it so they could make it more enjoyable for players. I defend a lot of things that bungie does. In fact, I will defend the reasons they had behind removing things like factions and trials. But there isn't much of a good reason why we shouldn't have them back yet. Well, I guess there is an argument for trials where they were labing out the new versions of elimination before restoring trials, but in the case of factions we've been making it clear for a while now the d1 version of them was fine.
-
I loved factions in D1.
-
Most people did, but they didn't exactly stand out as an amazing system so there wasn't exactly much praise for it, so when bungie brought them back in d2 they tried something different not knowing that the fanbase already regarded the factions pretty well. The change didn't work, as evidenced by most people hating faction rallies.
Does anyone know why they were removed in the first place. I would love to hear that one. Has bungie ever offered an explanation.
Nope, for over a year now this is Bungie's communication... "The devs are still looking into it" Really? it takes over a year to figure out what to do with something simple 🤦♂️
