Shotgun And sniper Heavy ammo

I installed destiny 2 again after playing the crap out of it on release, I loved the game, especially the crucible, took a break after realizing that the curse of Osiris dlc was complete garbage, Now i tried playing again since its on steam, but found crucible to be extremely frustrating and anti-fun, On release everyone had the same kill time and if you could move better and aim/use abilities better you were better. I've play around 50 games now since reinstalling and realized that most of the people playing crucible stack movement speed and run with similar shotguns, It doesn't make sense, I know people liked the shotgun/sniper as energy ammo in D1 but it doesn't fit into destiny 2 in my opinion, The kill time on shotguns is extremely high even when at medium distance against example hand cannons. This change would probably never happen but I would love it if they reverted the change so that PVP in D2 was like it was on release, where you didn't get one-shot whenever you turned the corner, or saw a hunter on the radar running towards you at max speed invisible etc. where if you aimed better than your opponent you won, and not die to shotgun cheese.

Concur. I've stopped playing during Warmind where Snipers and Shotguns were limited to Power Ammo. Back then, it was much more skill, reflexes, positioning and tactic based. You could engage any enemy and, if you positioned well and had proper reactions to your positioning advantage/disadvantage, you could sometimes back off, run, reposition, try something else. Now I am finding myself frustrated with surviving an encounter miraculously, running away, roaming for 15 seconds and then getting one-hit-KO'd by a scrub with shotgun around the corner or sniper who stops and camps the moment they see their radar flash red. Crucible used to be dynamic and lively, now it is just... stale. Now, don't get me wrong here. I am not condemning camping, I've done it with MMT more than once and fought people using MMT more than once as well. Back then you were able to choose your fight. I won and lost a number of scout rifle duels. Nowadays? Go around incorrect corner while trying to flank: Dead. Who needs heavy weapons when you have 1 hit KO shotguns and snipers with abundance of ammo. I have been seeing my hard worked K/D falling down and down, only due to those dumb unavoidable deaths, because you cannot simply prevent every shotgunner or sniper from taking you down. I saw people running shotguns in D2 release, but they weren't that powrful since they used power ammo. People would slide in, shotgun and would attempt to follow up with melee. That gave a titan time to react by casting a shield which would dmg them as they slide into it and you could at least attempt a melee trade IF you survived shotty. Now? Spam that quickfire shotgun because ammo is easy to come by and a kill is a kill. Having looked at both crucibles, the new one does not award tactical approach and thinking but punishes it. People are more encouraged to pick a spot and camp mindlessly with ther 1hits rather than think on where to best flank your enemy so that terrain is on your side to beat him.
