Dear Bungie, I have been a fan of you and your games since Halo: Combat Evolved, I’ve enjoyed Destiny even when it was going through growing pains, purchasing multiple copies first on Xbox, then on PlayStation. I’ve even applied to work for you twice. Your inclusion of Wine/Proton in the Anti-cheat auto ban is discriminatory against Linux users wishing to play legitimate copies of your game on legitimate hardware. Wine is not an emulator (that’s what Wine stands for!) and is a software tool that Valve embraces. Using proton does not modify the game files or change the function of the game in any way. It’s merely an interpreter. I would like to be able to enjoy Destiny legitimately on my PC without being vilified or targeted because I choose to run an operating system that doesn’t track me, or compromise my security. Don’t prevent me from enjoying your game like this; I’m not cheating and you know it. Turbwroan
