Readers grab relic, partner defends the plate. That's how my clan have always done it. Easier to remember the buff if you read the symbols.

Yes I know, a lot of people do like that, like I said I don't think that's wrong, but I keep thinking, and the person who keeps defending the plate, doesn't participate in the mechanics of taking the relic and putting it on the plate? that was just a thought of mine, as everyone's participation in this part of the raid
-
They still play a key role in killing those knights which I've seen people struggle/panic with
-
But this is not a unique function, because many times he is never alone in that position, but repeating again, I am not saying that this way of doing it is wrong, I am only suggesting a somewhat more fun way in my view.
-
It is absolutely a unique function. Have you tried killing the knights? They'll tank an entire thunderlord mag. Now imagine you're alone in there and have to kill three of them. You can down one with a super but then you have two more to worry about. Plate defenders play an equal role to relic grabbers, if not a more important role in preventing automatic wipes. Besides, it's a year old raid, they aren't going to change how the mechanics work.
-
I know that killing the knights is an important function, I never said no, after all, if that were not so, they would not eliminate the whole team, but think about it, the person in charge of killing the knights is not just the person who is cleaning and yes all the people who are there, you can see, the person who is cleaning is only alone when their duo is inside, but the point of that I'm talking about n is to say that it is more important, but to modify a part of the mechanics so that everyone participates in the team puzzle. And again, I'm not saying that this way of raiding is correct, I'm just giving my opinion on this way
-
Again, there not going to change a raid mechanic for a raid that is a year old, unless there was a glitch to skip vault and still get rewards. And again, defenders participate in the puzzle by preventing it from being stopped. Just because an outfielder my not see much action during a baseball game, doesn't mean they aren't participating in the game. If you want to find a team to do it your way, more power to you, but as someone else pointed out, it's easier for plate reader to remember call outs and be relic holder. That's a well established system that not many people are going to want to change.
-
Point 1 The defenders do participate, but their role is a function that everyone helps, repeating again n is a function that only one player can do, like getting the relic, I've never seen 2 people get the same relic, and I never said I wanted that everyone changed the way you do it, I suggested a way to make the mechanics fun for everyone, and literally leave a group doing a puzzle while the rest just kill mobs the whole game is done, and repeating it again, I'm not saying that this way I do is the correct one, I never said that, but the one that I find more fun, because I've already tested both and I honestly liked doing it the other way, detail tested the 2 functions. Point 2 The game is based on killing mobs, the raids in my view were meant to go beyond that, and doing so basically takes away the reason why the raid is there for some. But if you don't want the raid to have fun, well I can't do much.

Fun is subjective. I've defended plates and i enjoy doing it because i understand how crucial it is to the completion of the encounter. And what real difference is made by forcing plate readers to defend plates? 3 people are still standing around and killing mobs. Leaving the encounter how it is allows players to tackle it as they are comfortable doing so for the most efficient completion. Changing the encounter may make it less fun for some people while blocking them from doing it their preferred way. Leaving it also doesn't prevent you from doing it your preferred way.
