You know what I think it is?
The majority of people who play PvP and gambit are the pros and the randoms are not the best at it. I'm sure a lot of times they match good teams with good teams but I don't think it's possible all the time cause of the numbers.
I don't play either, so it's not a concern of mine but I'm guessing with the PvP player numbers being on the low end and a lot of people who don't like playing PvP, you are going to get matched up against pros a bit too often.
Sad that I never found PvP fun, or gambit. Personally I don't know how bungie can make it better. It's something I have no idea about but I feel they can make it better.
For me, I would love it if guns were not locked behind any one activity. I'll grind the same as someone in PvP would, just in a place that I enjoy, instead of an activity I don't. This seems like the best solution of all. Then pros can play pros in PvP and I can grind out a quest somewhere I enjoy.

I've seen this from D1 days, people would ask for match making and the boards would flip.. "NO, No way, it would kill the game and... Blah, Blah, Blah..." bungie has been listening to the wrong people for a long time. Activision, forums, I'm sure some of their devs, and getting rid of Joe Staten and Marty O' and a few others was a bumch of very big mistakes as well.

sometimes even when my team loses as long as I get the satisfaction in denying kills and getting invaders kills I am happy

Yeah, there is something for everyone. PvP just never appealed to me in Destiny. Oddly I was a big Halo fan and loved playing their PvP, over time, when I got good. Here it just feels a bit grindy for me and the pressure, not easy for me.

Not sure what Lunafaction boots do but I know the Lion can do some damage. I wish everything in the game was a bit more interesting. Maybe they have good ideas about shadowkeep, who knows. Not holding my breath though.

lunafaction automatically reloads the weapon you are holding while you are standing in a rift. so yea imagine just straight up spamming Lion in a small area
