One thing you can try, download windows 10 pro for free from microsoft (If you are willing to put up with a small activate windows watermark in the bottom right.). DO NOT apply any updates after install. Disable automatic updates in services. The default win10 pro install does not have the update remediator that turns the crap back on. Then install what ever individual update files you need directly. Takes a little time but it was the onyl way I could get my system stable with all of my CAD software and a geforce card. Also, Destiny 2 runs great in wine, however, Bungie will also ban you for some weird reason. I guess it shows as network manipulation or something on their end. So hopefully they will make a change soon.

There is a theoretical solution coming to mac and linux already. That's stadia pro in november. It's google though so "buyer beware" and all that. Still, might be worth keeping an eye on. That said, with stadia pro coming I"d doubt bungie would spend resources on dedicated game clients.

Instead of disagreeing right away with you, because I'm not as informed as I could be on the matter, here's some of my opinions/thoughts that you're free to debunk if I'm ill informed. Mac, I definitely think/hear is overall garbage for gaming, as well as being overpriced. (not shitting on Pro Mac users, my cousin is getting an Art Degree and their Mac is crucial for them) I feel like if you buy a Mac it isn't for videogames, so I don't think that the market is even remotely there. Linux, I don't know about the market, although I would assume comparatively to Windows it's small. As someone else said though I do see it being an absolutely nightmare for anti-cheat. Would have to separate Linux players and Windows players IMO. But the important part is the amount of effort Bungie would make, making it compatible with Linux, compared to the profit. As a newly independent company I don't necessarily see it being worth their time compared to everything else they have on their plate. [b][u]I would be super willing to see if I can help you get Windows working better on your PC, it truly does suck this has happened and I'm all for Guardians being able to be Guardians and play the game, in a perfect world this wouldn't be a problem.[/u][/b]

Myself and fellow professional Mac users have a saying. "Macs are for work, PCs are for play". Personally, I believe developers not bringing more games to Mac is a service to gamers. Kind of saving gamers from paying twice as much for a mostly useless machine when it comes to gaming. As far as Linux goes, I don't know much about it. I have a Linux based Raspberry Pi, but that's about it. I imagine being open source, the battle against cheat software and hacking would not be worth trying to capture 2% of the home PC market that makes up Linux users.

Sounds great but not sure a regular map could handle D2s size.
