Name: Noctis Wane Weapon: Brazen Bowblade [b]Edit[/b]: I’m naming it the “Chasseur Nocturne”. - Simple description: A pair of two shortswords that can interlock at the end of their curved hilts to form a longbow/shortbow configuration depending on the range required. A string manifests in the form of a small wire extending from one sword end and hooking onto the other. - This is where the real fun begins. Each sword’s hilt has a “magazine” inside of it, which pops out vertically from the hilt if the bow is held horizontally. Each mag can hold up to 6 bolts of 5 different types (12 of each bolt total). For accuracy, I pull out bolts individually from the desired mag, and notch them onto the string. The mags can retract if desired to help better my aim. For rapid fire capability, a trigger with a safety lock is positioned on each sword, and pressing it will fire out a desired bolt from each mag, shooting out two bolts in the end. Again, not too accurate, more for rapid fire capability. It will take time for the bolt ammunition to load into place before being able to fire again, but this usually takes around 5 to 7 seconds max. Additionally, the mags may not be used at all if I prefer to use ordinary arrows or arrows from the battlefield. Keep in mind, the mags do weight a bit, so I won’t be too mobile with the mags popping out of the hilts. - The 5 bolt types. Right. I’ve got 12 of each, all of which can be restocked through crafting and trading except for the Lunastra Bolt, which is acquired by the sacrifice of a bit of my aura. 1. Normal: Ordinary bolt, very little weight and does little to no damage if shot through a regular longbow, but the Brazen Bowblade shoots it at a velocity that can make it quite lethal. 2. Explosive Bolt: Name says it all. Must be shot at a fast enough velocity to enable exploding; otherwise, it will act as an ordinary bolt. 3. Shredder Bolt: Splits mid-air into pieces of shrapnel, peppering an area with shards. Good for moving targets and dealing a lot of damage if all the shrapnel hits. 4. Sniper Bolt: The heaviest bolt to wield, and with the most kick. Can only be shot when stationary, and cannot be rapid fired. Forged from pure steel save for the oak shaft, this bolt can pierce through all types of armor, and with a fast enough velocity, it can even pierce through the heaviest of armor. 5. Lunastra Bolt: When shot, a spiritual aura spins around this bolt, causing the arrow to home in on any nearby target. Upon a hit, the arrow turns into a specter of a wolf, leaping onto the target and mauling them, before leaping back into nothingness. Each bolt glows a different color while loaded in the mag, allowing for easy distinguishing, and a badass look. Mags can be used even when not in bow form, and the swords can individually shoot bolts themselves if needed through the use of the “rapid fire” mode I explained above. They’re simple enough, but paired with the bolts, they can be deadly. Semblance: [b]EDIT[/b] Moon-splitter ——————————— For 10% of my aura, I can “enchant” the next arrow I shoot. Enchanting said arrow will have a bluish black aura circling around it, and upon firing, it will turn into a cyan blue fireball. It retains all the special properties of said arrow, but will split into two separate arrows over a distance of 2m, and four arrows over 4m, and the arrow count will multiply by two for every 2m from there. Meant to be used to hit fast targets or to deal a shitload of damage to one. Any arrows that hit have a 50% chance to give me 1% of my aura back. Appearance: Scarf covering the lower half of my face up to my nose. Hair that is tied back in a ponytail, with strands of hair occasionally getting in my face. Below the scarf is a black shrouded outfit, left sleeve torn off, and with bits of cloth hanging off. Left arm is cybernetic and silver with a few robotic bits and bobs. Right arm is gloved. Legs are clothed in jeans and terminate in modified dress shoes with intricate designs on the heel. Oh, and tis a male btw. Personality: Talk first, shoot later. Social, likes sticking to people, but also thirsts for the occasional “me” time every now and then. Usually tries to keep his hands as clean as he can. Holds a soft spot for nature. Night owl. Light-hearted, but still in touch with the reality of death and violence. Judges people way too quickly based on first impression. And uh, color is black if you haven’t figured out by now.
