I'd strongly disagree, while PvE has effected a few PvE focussed builds and very specific weapons, PvP has ruined whole weapons types before.
PvP over the period of the last 5 years has ruined tonnes of good weapons and armours, as the vast majority just can't deal with being beaten by someone better.
Let's not even talk about the 2 primary system that came in due to PvP, which nearly destroyed the whole franchise.

That was bungie fault, not pvp lol wtf. D1 left off with a perfect balance in pvp, they changed it to make it a competitive shooter for esports, but you tried.

D1 crucible was an absolute disaster at the end.

Perfect balance is just nonsense, sorry it just is. No one will ever convince me that the complaining about PvP in D1 wasn't a massive contribution into the 2 primary system, it was a direct response to the complaining for 3 years about every single weapon or ability. That's all I'm saying on the matter.

Actually, the original design was as such. Which means, the way d2 launches was the original idea per weapon choices.

No it was not, it’s common knowledge if you followed destiny 2 before it came out. PvP was being made for esports, but it was still booty cheeks lol and everyone disliked it, so they changed it back.
