What do you do to improve as a PVP player? Do you just expect your current skill set to carry you to Fabled or Legend? Many have soloed to Fabled. I got to 1744 glory in solo queue in Season 4.
Some tips:
Go into private matches to learn names of map locations, good for when you play in a team. That can help with map knowledge and then you can also practice jumps and how to travel around the map.
Playing in the mornings can be easier than in the evenings.
Using meta weapons and a strong offensive super definitely helps.
If you cant find good people in LFG to play with, its probably because their skill level is better than yours (no offense meant), I also run into this issue. I have an approximate 1.2 KD and 1.7 KDA. I try to use solo matchmaking help me find friends. If you play a match and you like one or two people you played with, send them a "GG" good game, and ask if they would like to party up and play together. Why I think this is a good idea, Bungie matched you up with them, they probably have a similar skill level and are in a similar spot in grinding glory.
Learn strategies for "Countdown", usually kill an enemy and rush the survivors. Don't arm the bomb unless you kill one of theirs first.
Practice in Rumble or QP new weapons and supers
Practice in Rumble your one on one skills. If you cant kill one person by yourself, it will be much harder for you to help out your team..
Probably common knowledge, If you are the only one with a super, that can be a great time to use yours. No one around to counter you easily with a super of their own. Also you start generating orbs for your team mates so they can get their supers going.
Try to use the bonus points to your advantage. You just need to play 3 games a week to get 120-160 points a week. 12 weeks at 120 points is 1440. That is 2/3 of the points that you need.

Usually i Run Go Figure which is master worked or my Duke-Mk44 Masterwork (depending on the map) as well as a Sniper or Shotgun (also depending on the map) i try to stay with the meta when it comes to weapons and with supers im usually running BB on my hunter with Shards or Gal. When i play with friends its not an issue so at this time Map calling isnt an issue. i dont think im a bad player and i would say im fairly decent, both my KD and KDA was a little over 1.5 but since solo comp it dropped to 1.0. Map callouts is something i could work on but again when it comes to Solo no one uses mics and i cant type fast enough for them to make use of it. Trust me i dont expect to get carried to fabled i usually am placed 1st or 2nd on my teams leader board i just want to get games with other players who can also carry themselves or go against a team of the same skill level

To play solo, you need next level patience to weather match making issues and bad team mates. You also need decent skill to carry those bad team mates. If you dont have that, solo may not be your cup of tea.

I think what i really need to do is throw on the meta exotics if i play on carrying my team, i just hate that im going to HAVE to do that. I want to play solo with weapons i enjoy playing with not with whats "meta" but sadly that isn't the case when it comes to comp. I just wanted to use the forum to voice my frustration.

Изменено (Sweet Lew 88): 6/25/2019 8:00:38 PMYou're on PS4? I'm on XBOX. I almost never see Go figure or Duke in PVP. My first load out was Bygones and Telesto to get Luna's howl. I used Telesto until they nerfed it. Then went to Blast Furnace with max stability and Luna's Howl. I havent really tried playing comp this season, but i think i'll be going to BF and Wizened rebuke or possibly the nerfed Luna's, not sure. I usually main a titan in Comp for the suppressor nades (you can cancel a super with one grenade) and one eyed mask.

I play on PC, both guns are good. Go figure 2 taps everyone and with Outlaw and Killclip you can just roll people. With the Duke its the same except Kill Clip needs to be active to 2 tap people. Both have range masterwork and with Duke im usually running Ways of the outlaw to increase reload speed

On PC, those are probably pretty good.

Well i dont see alot of people using either often. Right now i see alot of The Last Word, Ace, and Lord of Wolves. I never see an end to titans running one eyed though
