While I dont agree with cores being in infusion I have to say theyre dead easy to get now. The three Banshee bounties can be done in 5 mins just by running the lost sector on Artifacts Edge on Nessus by the spawn point just ONCE. You do that lost sector ONCE and you get three cores and 6 mod components. If you gave more than one character you run it again and youve got double or triple that. Spiders bounties were tedious because they required you to farm ghost fragments first and the HVT ones you could end up waiting 30 mins on a planet for the right HVT. Banshees bounties are literally bang and youre done. Even if you only have one hour of play time you can spare 5 mins to get 3 cores and 6 mods. I dont think its gonna get easier that that. That being said I believe the introduction of Banshees bounties has devalued the core economy. You can get 63 cores doing the bounties on each character for a week for a total of 100 odd minutes of playtime. That equals to 3 masterworked weapons and some change or 6 masterworked armor piece and some change. In a week. Masterworking should be important but its not anymore as its raining cores. Therefore my opinion is that cores should be removed from infusion and the Banshees bounties need to be removed as well.

Still not enough, only 3 cores per day is pitiful. The truth is that core in infusion are just a throttle mechanism that Bungie implemented for the sake of statistics.

  • 9 cores per day, 63 per week is plenty enough for the casual player. It takes literally 10 minutes everyday to get that much. If you’re not a casual player you can net 150-200 cores per week pretty easily if you know what activities to do. Is that also “not enough” for you? I did this for the first couple of weeks of opulence and I hardly even bother to pick up bounties anymore because I just don’t need them. Core economy is not only better than it has ever been, I agree with the guy above that masterworking has been hugely devalued now. I started fresh, on a new platform, with nothing, 5 weeks ago. I’m currently 750, have masterworked 10 pieces of gear, have more than one max light loadout and around 7 or 8 max light weapons... we do not need MORE CORES lmfao.
9 cores per day, 63 per week is plenty enough for the casual player.
Nice try but your own sentence shows your bad reasoning. The vast majority of the casual players (and many mid-core players) only have time for fully developing one character, which means 3 cores per day. So yeah, 3 cores per day is NOT enough.

  • Your character does not have to be fully developed it just has to of reached the tower to pick those bounties up. I know this because i do those bounties on my Titan that is not max level. Anyone who had the game since the beginning of its life should have 3 characters at least level 20. Anyone coming later gets a free “mote of light” level boost when they buy the game for at least one character to be put straight to level 30. minimal effort
nice try though
• Dude, that's not the point in discussion, it's not a matter of accessibility it's a matter of time. Casual players don't have the time to play with 3 characters. Is that something so complex for you to understand? Or you're one of those that thinks his own reality is universal truth?

  • If someone can’t spare 10 minutes everyday to get 9 cores then he/she simply does not have the right to complain that they don’t have things that other people have... how is that for complex to understand? My buddy plays ESO 20+ hours a week, he has multiple characters and lots of stuff. I play it for 3 hours a week, I don’t have good stuff and I keep running low on mats I need for things... Maybe I should go cry in ESO forums about how “unfair” that is. Brilliant.
It's not 10 minutes for 9 cores, not even close to that. In fact is like three times that amount of time or even a little more, considering loading times, changing characters, fly-over destinations and picking bounties. But by your reply I already found what type you fit in: the ones who think their reality is universal truth. I'm done with you. Moving on.

Omfg please don’t tell me you take half an hour to do those bounties? Grab them and whatever weapons you need from the tower. Fly to Nessus, The Orrery in Artifact’s Edge is my usual destination. Go in, kill everything, collect bounties, log out. Then while your next character is loading the tower to pick up the bounties, use the companion app to switch the weapons you need to other characters. This saves you at least 2 trips back to the tower! It takes me roughly 3-5 minutes per run, depending on tower load times. My other loads times are basically non existent as I play on PC. Even so, you should not be taking 3 times as long as me to complete some simple dailies like that. You’re either lying, doing it wrong, or are hilariously yet stupidly inefficient. You think that my point is invalid because it takes YOU 30 minutes to do 3 simple ass quests 3 times. Learn to be more efficient in what you do. If the bounty’s are sword kills, fusion kills and arc kills then you use an arc sword and fusion rifle so you’re completing all the bounties at the same time... it’s really not hard. But it is what it is, if the simple stuff like that is much too complicated for you then you have no hope in the game whether cores exist or not. 😂

  • "But we want to enhance EVERYTHING we get. I want to masterwork the stability on my shotgun! And I want to masterwork this armor that only looks cool, but it doesn't even have new perks for weapon ammo!" Some people don't understand that you can like a weapon, but not have to masterwork it, or at least not all the way. If I like a weapon, I'll get it to a level 6 masterwork so it can have a tracker. But if I love a weapon, and I habitually use it, I will fully masterwork it. And as for armor, I prioritize what I use for raids and what I use for crucible before anything else. And even with that, I still have the cores to masterwork the rest of my gear on my Titan, Hunter, and probably most of my Warlock all the way. But I'm not going to. Because that's a waste. Also, the newbies should understand that at the start, you don't have to ditch a weapon just because it's 5 light levels lower than what you just got. It hardly makes a difference. Besides, there will probably be another light level boost quest thing, like what was in season of the drifter and the one we had just now that will boost them just under the previous seasons highest light level. Imagine that, they get to skip getting gear slowly from 400 to 600, 600 to 650, 650 to 700, and 700 to 750. If anything, Bungie has basically negated the work continuing players have had to do and made it easier for new players to catch up. TL:DR Learn that not everything needs to be masterworked just because you like it. Prioritize what is most useful to you. I have cores for days but that doesn't mean I spend them recklessly. Bungie is making light level grinding easier and is actually spitting in the face of players who grinded light level every season, so if anything, it is still very much player friendly. One last thing. A new player should be taught that just because they can't wear what they want because it isn't the highest light level doesn't mean they can never use it again. Just put it in your inventory and infuse it when you hit the max light for the season, easy as that. No shame in looking like a guardian who went through the donation bin.
