I have always hated the argument for "meaningful leveling". The game isn't about leveling it's about the endgame content and the loot. Leveling is just a pain point added ontop of a not so great endgame alongside not that grand of loot there. Enhancement cores need to be removed from infusion and put to more meaningful purposes such as with a large investment turning normal perks into enhanced perks or turned into a blue and drop at insane amounts like Motes of Light. As always the best time for Destiny when it came to leveling is the time I didn't have to think about it.

Increasing initially your light, and now your power, has always been part of the game. I get how vanilla D2 changed that up a bunch, and some of you prefer that version of the Destiny universe. But many of us, didn't and don't prefer vanilla D2, to post Forsaken D2. My vanilla D2 frequency of daily play, was considerably less than any other time during Destiny franchise. And I'm pretty sure I'm not alone feeling that way. Not sure they, Bungie, can appease everyone, or make everyone happy. Not sure of it is a game or franchise for people unwilling to grind progression. Progression in any form. Bounties, quests, strikes, crucible, you name it. And being a fan of games with goals for progression, I support Bungie vision for the future. And who knows maybe all of you that don't want to worry about progression and just want to play with different unique guns, will find a home in the Borderlands 3 universe. Don't think it will be the mythical, "Destiny killer," people have long prophesied. But I think it has other game loops and mechanics, that non grinders may enjoy more than the Destiny universe. Time will tell, I suppose.

I think you're missing my point but a good talk none the less. I didn't like Vanilla Destiny 2. I actually thought it was rather boring but that's the loots fault and not the leveling. It went so far I was ready to quit. While yes Destiny has always had leveling, and some people go overboard caring about it down to a very specific number, it has never really mattered outside of LL advantage situations or been the actual point of the game. I push for less meaningless leveling hurdles, and more activities with better meaningful loot. That's the real focus I think Destiny 2 is missing. As for your borderlands post I really hope whoever goes there has fun. Me? I'm more likely to dive back into MHW IB since it is actually challenging with great rewards and use Halo for my PvP fix. As for Bungie's future they still have a long way to go to earn my trust back. I've not seen anything beyond Managerie that gives me any hope for the future. I hope Shadowkeep will revive my faith in Bungie more but I'm not optimistic. Because of previously mentioned problems alongside others.

Motes of light also needed tk be spent on every new weapon you got for it not to be garbage

Изменено (SilverSols): 6/22/2019 11:38:47 PMDid it? Cause from the looks of my unupgraded guns that would be false. Weapon investment of XP. Gives you time to learn the gun and how it evolves along with perks activating as you work on it you feel progress as if the gun is getting better the more you use it. Though I don't really mind the people who used them for quick upgrades since you got hundreds in a couple days since they drop in large amounts from anything you do.
-
You did not get hundreds in a couple days. Unless you no life's the game. Which if you do the same in d2 you'll have 0 issue with enhancement cores. Shouldn't have issues even now though
-
Ah that lovely viewpoint. Just cause someone can get something doesn't mean it's not a problem. It's fairly easy to earn tons of motes without even no lifeing. Cores even to most no lifers at this point are still a problem to the wider picture. Like I've said before and say again remove their rarity entirely or remove them from infusion cost because they just don't belong there. Plenty of us have stockpiles yet plenty of us with stockpiles still believe they don't belong in infusion.
-
It isn't a problem if the problem is their supposed scarcity I'm down with making them more plentiful though. As Bungo seems stubborn on keeping them
-
Which would be option 2. If they refuse to use them better reduce them to rare and make them drop in insane amounts like Motes. As leveling should be no where near the problem it has become.

Изменено (TJ_Dot): 6/22/2019 11:47:10 PMMotes were granted upon level ups like crazy (naturally), only cost one to infuse pretty much and were spent almost nowhere else besides xp and Speaker. It had its purpose, and it did it right. Cores aren't.
