It is really impacting my experience in Destiny. If 1 issue could be solved right the fudge now, with a Wish from a Genie(Or...ahem😎💀), I would Make Menu Loading Times 100% Faster....PC Players got me Jealous....
Everyone asking for those ammo synths......we don't have em cuz you'd end up dead before the screen loads... #ConsolePlayers😱😭
Edit: Woke up and didn't expect this thread to pop off! Couldn't do this with you Guardians!

Изменено (Hoops): 6/20/2019 2:29:40 AMI think it has to do with the fact that consoles have slow hard drives and a chip with both a cpu and gpu on it which shares memory. No matter what hard drive you put in the machine will run it at roughly the same speed as the factory one. Xbox one has very slow ddr3 memory and ps4 has a very slow network. Destiny uses p2p which loads items and assets very differently to the Division 2 which uses dedicated servers. Just be thankful we are able to access inventory during loading screens. Bungie May be able to speed this up on newer consoles but I have the feeling just like framerate we are limited to what the slowest hardware can do. Getting better internet speed and using wired might also help this problem.
-
For everyone saying it is a console issue.. It absolutely is NOT. At D2 launch and well into Curse of Osiris, the player interface load was virtually instantaneous. It wasn't until bungie started playing around under the hood and broke something. By convincing everyone that it is a platform shortcoming, they have avoided ever having to fix it.
-
It's a hardware issue, not a Bungie issue. If you have a wired connection and an SSD, you'll have next to none loading times
-
Unless you plan to upgrade the hardware in your console don't get your hopes up. There's a reason the PC build loads faster and it's not just becuase of the outstanding port VV did.

Deftones 🤘

Totally feel you on that one. UI and loading screens are really slow.

Изменено (cesar0s): 6/22/2019 12:44:30 PMGo play Forza and tell me consoles aren't giant potatoes when dealing with UI and loading screens.

Hardware issue. I have the One X and have to wait 15-30 seconds for friends on their Xbox One to spawn in on Strikes or arrive at the Tower. Next year I'll probably get the Scarlett And will have time to make a sandwich waiting for my Xbox One friends to arrive.

Изменено (PrimitiveAK): 6/20/2019 10:12:28 PMLove it how people are trying to blame it all on Sony's and Microsoft's "console limitations" yes that's like less than half the reason, the primary reason is the ancient engine that Bungie is trying so hard to hold on to. I'm still gonna be switching to PC once shadowkeep drops to finally put my 2080 to good use, but do some research guys, it's not all Sony's and Microsoft's fault lol.

I’ve seen these posts a hundred times; bungie can’t do it.

Deftones are God’s

Wait for project scarlet to come out
Edit: Woke up and didn't expect this thread to pop off! Couldn't do this with you Guardians!
doesn’t matter. Bungie won‘t listen!

I wish I could upvote this 100 times

Not sure why people think a console will have problems with a next to static menu with very little moving parts. If you play TD2 the menu is instant, even the map is instant which have more moving parts than this one loadout screen in D2. I never had issues switching out weapons in TD2 while under fire on console.
-
Meanwhile project Scarlett.... It’s only a console issue because of the limited hardware. Bungee can’t do shizz
-
i'm pretty sure it has something to do withe the game being limited to 30 frames per second on the console version (i think they are just upscaled in options), if you watch the pc version on say twitch it looks like they have about twice the frames per second we have so it seems to run much faster (pc players very rarely accept less than 60 frames per second). but yes menu load times to loadout weapons and armor are slow to say the least on consoles you could find it quicker to use a mobile app such as ishitar commander to change loadouts (but that doesn't do infusions just transfers ect)
-
LexZenRa You make some valid points and i agree that eververse must be removed from this game but, Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold
-
This... and load us directly into the Tower. I know it will reduce my time on your game Bungie, but don’t worry, you always find a way to make up for it, for example, the current IB quests.

Изменено (Lord Ignatius): 6/20/2019 9:24:01 PMIm a ps4 user but we need to point the finger at the real villain that is Sony. Destiny on consoles is trash because sony made bungie cap it at 30 to maintain a ridiculous advantage. Xbox can output 60 fps ps4 can't even do true 4k and sony invented it. EDITED:30 not 60.

Going to the Pursuit tab makes me cringe every time because it takes at LEAST 5 seconds to load.
