I'm speculating that there could be another potential Allegiance quest based on quotes in the lore and in the Menagerie.
There could be one with Calus vs Vanguard or Calus vs Dreaming City. That's just my own idea. What do you guys think.

Hmm. Choose between a Cabal emperor with a huge god complex… Or an Awoken queen who also has a god complex…
-
If this happens I'll choose the Awoken over the Cabal, as for one the Queen while secretive has never sent her forces to kill us and I want to know if I could destroy the Leviathan with a Warmind super-weapon mixed with the Light...

Hmmm.... Should I side with the people who helped me grow as a guardian and who defend the City to the death against those who would destroy humanity? Or should I rather side with a thicc cabal emperor who hasn’t dared shown his true form yet, has a god complex, makes weird fanfiction coming from an unhealthy obsession with us, and one who wants the Awoken and their queen dead so that he can be the last one alive in the galaxy, even though whatever extinction level event he’s talking about probably won’t destroy us because guardians make their own fate? Tough call. I choose Mithrax.

Изменено (TheHaloCat3958): 6/21/2019 12:20:40 AMGood post. I would choose the Mara over Calus any day. The deposed/exiled Emperor is a wild card. For example, what he did to the Arkborn. If you become one of his shadows, you have to obey every command he says. If you don’t, there are dire consequences. While it’s very likely that “The Guardian” would certainly be able to slaughter Calus, I’m talking about humanity. Yes, the Guardians can likely beat Calus in the long run, but as shown before, Calus is a madman who will cripple/harm a species if his shadows don’t comply. He has a God-Complex which will make things very...difficult. I know people don’t like comparing fictional things to history
Think I care?
, but the words “I am the king. I am of god. I do what I wish.” Usually results in Regicide at some point. Calus doesn’t necessarily have a strategy. He makes it very clear that you should seek “pleasure” before the Darkness arrives. Mara Sov, while not GREAT in my eyes, is clever and a very valuable ally to have. She always has a plan, always has a strategy. (Wonder when she’ll reveal the rest of her “Grand Plan”.) Bungie also said a long time ago that she has a “special pirate queen-like role in Destiny 2020” and the voice actress of Mara Sov seemed pretty excited. So it’s safe to say that she has an active battle to fight right now. Not to mention, she has done a lot to protect the city. The Reef Wars is a good example. Calus has shone us that he’s certainly a raving madman at times. There’s even an Owl Sector lore card where he tells his forces to “bring them pain to make them stronger”. “Them” being us. He’s giving us gear and access to the Leviathan, but at the same time, he is setting his forces on us. He has mostly been a thorn in our side whereas Mara, while being unpredictable, is a consistent ally in our cause. *edit* I’d also choose the Vanguard over Calus for obvious reasons.

Why does he hate the queen anyway? He calls her a child.
