Agreed. I’m an auto rifle player and Bungie seems to have called it a day after Breakneck, which is a shame because that basically means that’s all I use anymore.
Here’s hoping Opulance will have a decent auto that isn’t locked behind some stupid challenge (or God forbid the raid).

Yeah God forbid you have to play the game to get a reward
-
what a dumb comment. wat?
-
How? He literally said he doesn't want to do a challenge or raid for a weapon he wants. Why do you not want to play the game but you want a weapon for the game? Seems quite illogical.........
-
Never said I wouldn't play it. Only expressed frustration having to play another repetitive quest or overcomplicated raid to get gear. You can read into it all you want, but I just wanted to make sure you didn't get the wrong idea on my account.
-
How the Hell else are you gonna get it? You're asking for a great auto rifle. Great weapons in Destiny are obtained either through lengthy, repetitive quests or challenging activities. You can't expect to get a weapon that stands out from doing a strike lol. If you're wanting pinnacle weapons and exotics handed to you, Destiny isn't the game for you. It's a looter shooter and apparently is going to be moving more into the RPG genre in the future so it's only going to get grindier. And that's a good thing. No one wants a repeat of Year 1. Their target audience likes to grind.
-
Ok man, come on... I understand what it takes to get it. I’m not even asking for them to change the process. I’m just not looking forward to the tedious grind it takes to get some pieces of gear. Damn. And yes, Destiny is all about grind, but this particular grind is pretty bad. It’s just not fun at all.

Like? Opulence is getting great reviews thus far. The last two seasons had pretty annoying, unimaginative quests to unlock things but so far people are enjoying Opulence. Although I think the quest to unlock the Chalice/Menagerie was pretty damn boring and tedious.
-
I think Opulance is off to a good start. The Menagerie was fun the first time, if a little insane, and hopefully they utilize the space to mix it up each week. I’m just not looking forward to jumping in the raid, the mechanics in D2 are much more puzzle and coordination-heavy than D1, which when you run with randoms can be a nightmare. But hey... I’ll still give it a shot.

You said it, not me.

From my understanding the only auto new to this season is from crown of sorrows raid unfortunately
-
I was afraid of that. Guess I’m going into the raid.
