I've played d2 on xbox during the very beginning season, but stopped during first raid. After endless persuasion and the recent stream it seems like things for not just d2 but bungie are going in a good direction, so it seems like a great idea to get back into the game. I just bought the complete edition for pc(60% off on battle net btw) but was wondering when the cross save release date is coming and if you can pick and choose which characters can get carried over? You see I have 3/3 class slots full on xbox but only want to transfer 2/3. Since buying the game on pc would definitely want to play, but not waste time if the option is to transfer all or none of the characters. Also xbox broke so there's no way to access those characters to delete beforehand

You'll have to wait for them to give more details on how exactly cross save is going to work.

You'd have to get the same DLCs on Xbox that you own on PC in order to use the same account and cross-save. More details on what exactly saves and if there's any way to manage what can cross over has yet to be revealed, but you can expect that it's "all or nothing" with maybe version control of which saves you want to load up. I would not expect to be able to use the same account but separate sets of different characters. You're transferring account data from one platform to another, so anything you change on one platform should logically overwrite when cross-saving to the other.
