Whisper nerf should have been this...
Works the exact same way as the nerf but when it reloads 2 rounds come from reserve one from thin air. You would eventually run out of shots still but keeps the whisper spirit and doesn’t completely tank the weapon. At this point it will be a non factor in any activity.

1 ответOr they could have avoided the nerf by not bringing a weapon back that the already knew was a problem. Did they forget what happened in D1? Did they think they would get different results by doing the exact same thing?

1 ответDude, some of us here remember the original black hammer, 20 odd rounds in reserve, a legendary and the bullets replenned from nowhere. Why would i accept this sub par shit? It's meant to be exotic? Pathetic, we literally had better legendaries throughout d1.

1 ответOr they could not nerf it and not design content around OP weapons they knew were going to be OP. Not everyone has whisper, but everyone can get it. If it trivializes some encounters so what? That's part of the power fantasy, having the right tools for the job, I'm tired of Bungie dictating how I should play the game when they themselves put the tools in my hand to play it in different ways. You have to put in a lot of effort to get whisper in the first place, and man I went through a lot of effort to get it, but I didn't go through all of that just to have the gun basically be nerfed into a legendary. At a certain point Bungie needs to pick what kind of game they want Destiny to be, because I'm tired of putting in effort for powerful weapons and armor only to have them be ripped away. Either leave them be, or don't make them OP in the first place.
