Look at this guy trying to make using Luna’s Howl a life mantra of being “smart” versus “dumb.” You can call it survival, cowardice, lots of things. Not smart though.
Easiest way to the bottom of a pit is to jump, but I don’t see you taking the easy option in that case.
The “smart” option isn’t always going to be smart and won’t always best serve you in the end. If you guys are “smart” for using it, you’re basically saying it’s “dumb” to use anything else. Saying everything else is inferior. (And it is). So you use it. LH/NF users run the risk of dependence whether they admit it or not. Every time they switch to LH or NF mid game because they’re getting stomped is dependence.
If they ever nerf LH/NF, all the people who crutch that weapon are gonna have a hard time for awhile. While the rest using other stuff actually have an identity already away from their crutches.
I guess overall though, thanks for reinforcing the argument I’ve been making that LH/NF users don’t actually want competition in any way, shape, or form though and that they’d prefer to just kill kinderguardians all day to pad their stats. That’s the “smart” option. Why play anyone with any actual skill? You could lose.
Also, on the people intentionally nerfing themselves, someone forgot to tell Bungie because they just made a boon for that in Iron Banner.

Jumping seems to be the smartest way actually. See how quickly your analogy fell apart? Reason being it's about as shallow as the rest of your comments. And I think it's funny you think I am advocating for LH/NF or something? I don't have either one and suspect I never will. I'm just not the kind of asshole who thinks using the [b]meta[/b] isn't the smarter of the two options, nor would I call out anyone who makes the smarter choice to use the meta as well. That's why it's there. EVERY game has a meta and they always will. Feel free to disadvantage yourself whenever you please. As you pointed out, you can very easily do that in IB right now. You had to nitpick a point for it to “fall apart.” 🙄 You also gravitated to all of the arguments excusing the state of Crucible I expect everyone who says “this is fine” does. “It’s there, so use it. Every game has metas.” E-Sports turned down Destiny because of balance issues. Metas exist, but they’re never this one sided, and if they are, they aren’t ever for over 6 months as this one has. Lots of examples on that. At least in every other meta, there’s at least an illusion of parity. In Destiny, if you go into Comp without them, some people will kick you. That, and experiencing 6 months of Luna/NF in Crucible, the hundreds of other posts here about how broken Crucible is, seeing Comp posts asking for NF owners only, paid carries, I have not arrived at the place on the subject I have by accident. It’s been a long time of continuous reinforcement.
