Confession Time
I never cared that Cayde-6 died.
Cayde-6 was just a funny man with no history or compelling characteristics. He had to die for his character to get some form of development. When the announcement came out that he was going to die in Forsaken I did not care. Everybody acted as if his death was meaningful, but I highly doubt that anybody had any serious connection to him. Cayde-6 was the only figure in the franchise that had character, and it was just that of a pathetic clown. Cayde-6 was NOT funny, and he was NOT a well developed character while he was alive. After we got more back story about him, Cayde-6 began to grow as a character, but it took his death for us to get any development. Why don’t we get a character that is well developed AND alive? Hopefully his death was more symbolic as in “funny man dying is the writing team killing their pandering towards a 12 year old audience” type of gig. Dunno where I wanted to go with this, but I ended up here.

3 отв.You must've watched I hate Everythings review because some of the things said here are almost word for word from that review. I honestly lived Cayde and cried like a little bitch. Once when he first died and the second time after opening the final chest during the "Ace in a hole" mission. I loved Cayde and swore vengeance upon Uldren and I'm a warlock. He's not even my vanguard.

4 отв.Thats completely wrong. He had a lot of history and backstory, probably more than any other character. He had a son, and a wife. He was made a weapon over and over again. Clearly you have no idea what you’re talking about. Now. Apologize, and crawl back under your rock.

He worked so poorly as a robot Nathan Drake that every joke he ever told is outdone by Io’s very own Pickled Rick in the, like, two Strikes he narrates.

I agree I wasn’t sad till I did the will mission and you have to read the grimoire and shaxx is an incredibly well developed character as is Saladin, ikora, cayde and Zavala oh and Amanda and Petra and mara sov

Destiny’s story has always been something written on paper. You read the stories in the lore. Then you get to play with the characters and stories in the lore. If you only play the game, you’re only getting half the fun.

2 отв.Eris Morn was a well developed character IMO. “Fingertips on the surface of my mind” is one of the best lines in the entire Destiny franchise.

How dare you say that caydes chicken and sandwich jokes were not the pinnacle of humor. Oh and not to mention the loooooooore. How could you not notice something that's not conveyed well or at all otherwise?

For ex: First person to describe the collapse in great detail Lost all his family (love interest, his son) He’s heavily implied to have depression (drinking, gambling) Reveals things about Clovis bray institute as he worked there He left his human body as he had a large debt which could only be payed by giving Clovis his body and turning into exo He lost his friend and in turn set up the whole premise of the vanguard dare which is quite substantial There’s more but I’m not a lore master, ask archival mind. And for future reference think before you speak or at least research, he’s more then “funny guy” he has a history of misfortune. As well check “the man they called Cayde”

Изменено (Sturm with no Drang): 1/4/2019 11:35:10 PMI must confess too. I used to always say that I liked the HoW meta because all hand cannons were handling well, but that’s not the entire truth. The reality is I enjoyed HoW because of how broken the connection was and how the Dames of Destiny Stream with Cozmo became near-meme material. After about a solid month of the community complaining, the devs finally caught wind of the problems and addressed them. To this day, I still don’t know if that was the high-point or the point where things started going downhill for Bungie.

Understandable. However my guess is that you simply just play the game and don’t pay any attention to dialogue or lore. Sadly you missed out about meeting an awesome Exo.
