Hey there. Thanks for reaching out to us about this issue.
We are aware of the emblem not updating correctly and we're investigating.
As for your quest with your friend, have you tried logging out and back in? What about going to Hawthorne as a fireteam?
If you or your friend linked up or purchased Destiny 2: Forsaken longer than 7 days ago, one of you aren't considered a new player anymore and can't play the quest with each other. If you are still within the 7-day timeframe, you or your friend might need to send the link again, or create a new link.
Finally, if you or your friend are gamesharing Destiny 2 content, you both won't be able to complete this quest until both accounts own Destiny 2: Forsaken.

> As for your quest with your friend, have you tried logging out and back in? What about going to Hawthorne as a fireteam? I and we tried some of this. Not working. We linked a long time ago, month or more. And confirmed the link. And we both was with Forsaken dlc. Because link was a long time ago i afraid cancel and create new link... I could not start the quest with him because I had another linked friend. I thought it was logical that I should first finish one quest to get another. My friend, idk, maybe it matter: https://www.bungie.net/en/Profile/254/17136651/Eckulon
