If you’re frustrated after only four games, comp is probably not for you. Unless you’re very good, expect to have to grind 150-200 matches, or more. I did the luna grind mostly solo in about 300 games.

Wow okay it’s not people fault that there has I’m Doing Luna’s and I can’t get it due to lag poor matchmaking and teammates leaving so yes Destiny’s matchmaking sucks so bad

I'm very salty. I'll openly admit that. But when I'm getting someone leaving my game or I'm matching against NF or Luna, it makes me not want to play matchmaking at all. I'm not even a good player. I know this because I've been on such a losing streak that I'm in Guardian 2 down from Brave 2. Yeah, that's really fun

This is the first week of a new season. You’ll face people of all skill levels. If you give it a couple weeks, the lower ranks that you start at will have few high skilled players left. This will make it easier to move up in rank, but once you get close to fabled, you’ll start to match those higher skilled players again. At that point, expect getting wins to be much more difficult than they are now. If you must always win to have fun, you might want to skip competitive, because you’re going to lose a lot along the way. If you can understand what you’re getting into, and can deal with it, I say go for it.

Why is there no season qualifier for Comp? Ten games and you start with an appropriate Glory rank number or at least MMR that can appropriately match you. It blows my mind that there's no qualifier process for the competitive playlist each season in this game... There are many other issues I have (skill-gated rewards, roster/team/clan visibility, etc) but the fact that your zero ranks are a giant meat-grinder isn't helpful at all to anyone trying to make progress early in a season...

Oh shit you're right. Matchmaking is still in flux. Wow. Ummm... I'm actually gonna keep this up but I will take your advice since you've clearly got more experience in this game type. Thank you!
