Can Merciless compete for my special slot or do I just use a shotgun?

The guy that compares ep shotty to merciless doesn't use the impetus (kill clip like perk) when comparing which clearly isnt fair since he activates trench barrel. Let's see the numbers then!

Masterworked merciless is suprisingly potent, even in crucible.

I am leaning towards carrying both a shotgun and Merciless depending on the game mode I'm playing and what I am doing.

I tested some guns against riven a few hours ago and this are my results: #1 - Bad Omens curated roll #2 - Prospector #3 - Merciless #4 - Coldheart #5 - Telesto #6 - Huckleberry #7 - Lord of Wolves I knew that Merciless was going to be good but not THAT good, that fusion rifle buff was massive

its not that far behind in damage. its definitely a safer option. Use it against floating enemies (gambits meatball primeval)

Perhaps a tiny incremental damage increase added into the "conserve momentum" perk would do the job.

Can’t compete in dps and can’t compete in ammo Merciless needs an ammo buff 30 shots in all, 10 in a mag - it is exotic after all

Use ep. Merciless even with the fusion buff cannot compete with the dps. It should stay in energy tho. It’s similar to the nerf crying pvp players with telesto, why should I lose the option of using merciless/telesto in my energy in pve just because -1 kda players in pvp die to it. Pve should never again be affected by pvp scrubs. But bungie love “balance” even though they’ve never achieved anything close to it lol 🤦♂️

Merciless cant compete anymore, I think other fusion rifles are better

3 отв.Unfortunately, no. I have an idea for a buff: -Increase ammo reserves to 16-20. -Damage ramps up as well as charge time (up to +50%). -Catalyst makes it so that kills do not reset the perk, and makes the weapon "wind up" faster. A buff like that could let it beat Ikelos. #buffmerciless

Even after the 40% buff it's still not a viable alternative compared to Ikelos. Sadly a niche weapon currently.

Needs to have Full Auto Trigger System intrinsic. That would help nicely.

One gun that def needs a buff... Maybe... enough shots placed on an enemy causes enemy to burn and ignite. Ignited enemy's take additional damage from.solar sources. Ignition can stack with other individuals ignition. 3 ignitions creates combustion. Causing additional aoe dmg. Get creative. I don't just want more ammo or more direct dmg. I want a reason why this gun would be used in certain situations over my other exotics or ep shotty.

Aztecross made a video comparing the two (specifically merciless and EP Shotty). I still prefer EP for PvE. The damage is just unbeatable.

I even use it over ikelos shotty in gambit for this reason alone, ammo efficiency. Merciless is one of the worst guns in the game when it come to ammo efficiency vs dps. Put it back in your vault where it belongs. Edit: I brought up telesto to show that merciless isn’t even the best of its class.

4 отв.Depends on what you use your shotgun for and what shotguns you usually use. If you have an ikelos that you use all the time, I'd say probably not. But, Merciless is pretty good after the buff. I would recommend checking out Aztecross' video on Ikelos vs. Merciless.
