Less than 2.5% of crucible Players have the Claymore

Bungie recently stated in the TWAB that less than 9,000 players have the Claymore, which is less than 2.5% of the crucible population (400k daily). It is also less than 1% of the entire Destiny 2 player base. What happened to 40% getting it? What a failed system Edit: It is interesting to note that the few defending the current competitive system are mostly elitists &/or people who get paid to do recoveries/carries ($150-$1000 per customer). They cheat the system & prey on players’ desire to obtain the weapon, especially in the limited time-frame it is available. Edit 2: the user SebastienC did the numbers and it is actually 0.86% of players active in competitive that have the Claymore. What’s the point of producing a unique gun that 99% of the player base will never get? Why not make something for half the players at least?
