So the Patrol spaces are honestly a little lackluster with End Game activities... well except for Mars with Escalation Protocol. I think Bungie should give us a reason to want to visit these locations and do things in the Patrol spaces. What I'd love to see is a new mechanic added to Public Events to ramp up the difficulty to warrant some new Legendary Drops! So here is my idea... [b]Prestige Public Events![/b] So first off each time you complete a Heroic Public Event it will have a 50% chance of dropping a Prestige Event Key. Also these keys would only drop for people that have reached max level and cleared the campaign. These keys shouldn’t be rare for players that have reached the end-game. Now for each Heroic Public Event it will have 3 terminals to unlock... The modules would be specific to each event like Cabal, Hive, Taken or Fallen themed. Once the public event gets upgraded to Heroic, the 3 modules will spawn or drop into the Heroic Event. At least 3 Guardians will need to unlock the modules to unlock the event into Prestige mode! A single player can only unlock one module per event. So a single person can't upgrade the event to Prestige. You’ll need at least 3 Guardians to unlock the Prestige Event. Now for Prestige Public Event... The timer clock would reset as soon as all 3 terminals are unlocked. New waves of more difficult enemies would spawn into the event. Depending on the event type and location maybe even some additional mechanic to clear the event. As for the bosses I'd think 2 or 3 additional bosses in the Prestige public event would be good!! Would probably depend on the event and how difficult the boss is. As far as the Legendary drops from a Prestige Event these would be new rare drops that would be specific to each Planet/Location in the game. Each drop would be something themed to that location. A set of ornaments for each Planetary Armor Set for the Prestige events would be a great addition. Also 1-2 exclusive weapons for each planet that only drop from the Prestige events.
