Why not put armed guards in schools? Airports have them, banks have them and most state buildings hsve them.

We also have a lot of unemployed, homeless veterans who need a steady source of income to support themselves. Find vets, ask if they would like to work as security for the schools and then BAM armed protection and an increase of jobs.

I like that idea, but isn’t like over half the homeless population mostly consist of the mentally ill? I wouldn’t want any of them wandering my school let alone armed.

VA says that 80% of the homeless population has a mental illness, but the unemployed might have less.

Ah, my bad. But the more you think of it, yea it seems like a good idea. Everyone gets jobs, schools are protected, but funding would cost so much more no doubt.

And thats where we find a barrier. It would probably end up as a partisan argument and go nowhere.
