It follows the exact formula as Season 1. However, it was supposed to be the first (or second) week of COO so back then we would have been excited to get the new DLC weapons anyway.
But Bungie, after you had to delay it to give access to all players.... did you not realize that everyone who actually forked over money for the DLC, aka your actual dedicated player base, have had a month to get all those weapons and that holding back faction weapons makes this entire event pointless now? You expect us to turn all these tokens in to get the same things we already have to try and win 1 gun? Unreal.
It is disappointing that after all this time you guys are still making all of these stupid missteps when you should be extra generous to win back/ keep players. Next time you make a decision, try putting yourself in the players shoes. Or maybe ask us how we would like it handled before you do it. Ever hear of user testing new products/ features?

NO. Not "misteps". It's part of their stated game plan. They publicly stated in black and white that they were tired of making content for this game as it was "too hard" and would be "trickling content at a slower drip feed" AND using Eververse to make money INSTEAD. They sold you hype in the form of a dream and then turned around and exploited it instead. These are just facts and words straight from Bungies own Devs. You're just a number on a spreadsheet to them, nothing more. This is NOT the Bungie from their Golden Age Halo days, that's all in the past.

The factions should be around all the time like in D1. These faction rallies initially sounded cool but have been a huge disappointment.

They've lost their way, let's hope they find their way home again.
