(SUGGESTION) Shaders: one-time-use UNLOCKABLES per item.

Bungie, I'm not sure if this has been suggested before, if it has I apologize and will link to the suggestion. Suggestion underlined below if you want to skip my salt.. As it currently stands, I will never buy a shader from the store. I haven't even used a shader on my PS4 account and, while I haven't leveled enough for them on PC... I can almost guarantee I won't really use them. The reason why is because I love changing my colors in destiny 1. My friends and I would coordinate shaders when we went into trials, raids, and just to goof around with bright pink colors and so on. We just can't do that now. All of the good shaders you get are in such small quantities (even 15 or so) that it just doesn't make sense to change the colors of your outfit. It took out a piece of the fun for me, and I'm sure so many others. I completely understand driving profits through cosmetics. I don't even think that microtransactions (dun...Dun..DUNNN) are the worst thing in the world if done correctly. I know how business works and this is probably coming from the sales department. I'm also not naive enough to think that the shaders will go back to how they were. In my opinion, we just need to make a compromise and meet in the middle. Not only for our happiness, but for a boost in your sales! SUGGESTION: Why don't you just make it where when you use a shader, it unlocks that shade for that specific weapon or armor. It's still a one time use, BUT I actually have the option of alternating colors on that item if I've used the shaders on. This would not only make shaders more useful again. It would give us a reason to grind from more and add to the "end-game". I can almost guarantee this would increase not only our happiness as guardians, but your profits from the store. People would be more willing to purchase a shader if they knew it wasn't going to immediately disappear when they want to apply another shader to that item. I think this is a really fair middle ground for those calling for universal-use shaders and bungie who want to drive the cosmetics as revenue. Something I'm sure some people haven't thought of.. With seasons coming up, I'm sure you'll include new shaders.. I can also bet that most people won't even use them because they will not only disappear when we use them, but from the loot tables when the event ends. You could save yourself a TON of backlash before the season starts by implementing something like this. I really enjoy this game and while others may not think shaders are that important, I think they are actually a big part of the "end-game". I remember in D1 being so excited when I would get an awesome shader from a drop.. Now I just audibly sigh cause I know its not worth using. Thanks!
